Yosemite RV Resort, RVC Outdoor Destination (formerly Yosemite South , Coarsegold, California

Date of Stay: June, 2018 - $68.00
Overall Rating:

Good location (20 miles) from Yosemite if you don't want to stay in the park with no services. Price is high for what you get. Pool is outstanding and we enjoyed clean showers and outdoor movies. The site we had was really not big enough for our big rig and the interior roads are not very maneuverable for big rigs. The laundry has no change machine or information as to length of cycles. There are no places to sit while doing laundry except on a bench in the sun. Quarters for laundry only available up a steep hill at the office. The variable pricing policy (two types of rates- one with all funds forfeited if cancel) is unusual for an RV park. We camped at Yosemite RV Resort, RVC Outdoor Destination (formerly Yosemite South in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

Go into Yosemite Village EARLY and secure a parking spot if you have a tow vehicle. You shouldn't try to take a big RV into the Village. You can walk to all the local sites in Yosemite Village, Yosemite Falls, the Visitor's Center, food options etc. The Valley Floor Tour was great and avoids the usual lack of parking at popular sites.

Golden Pine RV Park, June Lake, California

Date of Stay: June, 2018 - $45.00
Overall Rating:

Wonderful RV park tucked into small Alpine-like town of June Lake. Site was a bit tight for big rig units, but was level and manageable. Any negative is offset by walking access to town, Gull Lake and short drives to several nearby lakes. Staff was very efficient in registration and site assignment and was above and beyond in helping get needed repairs. We camped at Golden Pine RV Park in a Motorhome.

Pine Grove Campground and Cottages, Medway, Maine

Date of Stay: August, 2016 - $30.00
Overall Rating:

WE stayed two nights. Owner extremely helpful. We intended to do a nearby park but owner offered an alternative to better fit our needs. He lent us maps and provided an itinerary. It was great. Informed us about the area and came out in the rain to say goodbye. This is a great family run place. We camped at Pine Grove Campground and Cottages in a Motorhome.

Twin Fountains RV Park, Oklahoma City, Oklahoma

Date of Stay: June, 2014 - $40.00
Overall Rating:

This campground is one of the best. It is near the junction of I- 35 and I-44 and very convenient to all the sights in Oklahoma City. There are sidewalks and generally paved roads throughout. Manicured lawns. Nice swimming pool and miniature golf. Friendly staff. It is a little tricky to find as there is no signage for the campground until you are almost there. There is a little road noise and the Internet is spotty but we really enjoyed our stay here and would return. We camped at Twin Fountains RV Park in a Motorhome.

I-30 Travel Park, Benton, Arkansas

Date of Stay: June, 2014 - $35.00
Overall Rating:

This park is between Little Rock and Hot Springs and is a good location for touring in both cities. However, it has little else to recommend it. Access is via a frontage road and crossover and is confusing. The only amenity is a laundry and some restrooms. There is no shade in the area used for short term stays and the campground is essentially a gravel parking lot with utilities. The staff is friendly, and internet access is good. It was expensive for what was provided. We camped at I-30 Travel Park in a Motorhome.

Meramec Valley Campground, Cuba, Missouri

Date of Stay: June, 2014 - $21.00
Overall Rating:

This is a huge campground with a big fishing lake. However, it has seen better days. Our site was gravel and not at all level and the others we saw did not look much better. There is a general lack of maintenance. 30 amp power is the max. Some of advertised facilities are not actually available. Internet only available at office and nearby. The pools are excellent but have few chairs surrounding them. This place is good for an overnight stay along I-44 but as a whole is a little tired. We camped at Meramec Valley Campground in a Motorhome.
