Pack Creek Campground and RV Park, Moab, Utah

Date of Stay: September, 2017 - $30.00
Overall Rating:

I was able to get in without a reservation. I liked that this is a few blocks off 190, very quiet. Hence the name, a creek runs along the park and you can walk it. Tents may camp right next to it. I also did Laundry and it was very reasonable, $1 to wash, $1 to dry. Yes, as others say the sites are close together, however the price reflects this. Great deal for Moab area. We camped at Pack Creek Campground and RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Red Ledge RV Park, Kanarraville, Utah

Date of Stay: August, 2017 - $30.00
Overall Rating:

This is a quaint park, setting on ledge of mountain, with great scenery. (Not hard to get to). Although spaces are tight, owner does a good job of placing you in a site for your rig. I have a 38' 5th wheel, parked on grass with 30 amp. FUP. Prices are reasonable, discount given. ONly 10 or so spaces for overnights and 3 camping cabins. NIce seating area to visit. We camped at Red Ledge RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Starlite Classic Campground, Canon City, Colorado

Date of Stay: August, 2017 - $31.00
Overall Rating:

The owner is super friendly and dresses up like the 50's as does her staff. The theme is classic trailers and auto's. It is Colorado and people smoke cigs & weed everywhere. There is a front porch in front of store that is a smoking area. This turned me off, so I was not able to sit and visit with others.

Share a power post with neighbor, back to back, one side is 30 amp other 50. We camped at Starlite Classic Campground in a Fifth Wheel.

Tips for other Campers:

Definitely go white water rafting down the Arkansas river. I used the outfitter across the side street, book through the campground for a discount and fun ride over in a old car. I ate at "The sisters" restaurant and bar. The staff was super friendly and when I asked what to do, they said rafting definitely. Close by for Gorge suspension bridge and activities for children. I did not go, chose to look at bridge from the river.

Tips for other Campers:

Aprox. 50 minutes to Great Sand National Park. Also look up Sangre De Cristo Wilderness for hiking trip to Willow Creek near the town of Crestone. It is a artsy town with food. Plan ahead your meals, it is at least 30 minutes to a restaurant. Also fill up your gas tank, there are limited gas stations.

WillowWind RV Park, Hurricane, Utah

Date of Stay: February, 2016 - $30.00
Overall Rating:

The park had RV's in tent spaces, so they put us by the clubhouse, which is surrounded by 3 streets and very loud. Upon check-in we had to sign a 4 page sheet about rules. Our disappointment is they did not hold up to their policy of quiet hours, clean restrooms and parking was very limited. The clubhouse closes at 5:00 p.m. which does not give adequate time for guests to use, as during the day we were out doing activities. This may be okay for a RV, but not tents. If you like quietness at night, don't stay here. Also the staff didn't seem to care about their list of rules. Our neighbors were smoking marijuana and partying at night. When I informed office next day, they said well they are only staying one more day and their aren't cameras to monitor that area. I inquired if they had security who could walk through this night to make sure things were quiet, she said she would put in request. We camped at WillowWind RV Park in a Tent.

We stayed one night to hike in area. There were two of us and we were put in a cabin that slept 4. Cabin very small, not much room to walk. It was set up to be organized, hooks and shelves. had electricity, include fan and tiny TV . yard is very beautiful and nicely landscaped, a few seating areas for guests. Hitch-N-Post Campground, Panguitch, Utah

Date of Stay: March, 2015 - $30.00
Overall Rating:

We stayed here three days while we visited Bryce National Park. The owner, Jodi, was present to check us in. She was very helpful with tourist information for the area. The recommendation to drive Scenic Hwy 12 was wonderful, I am so happy I didn't miss this road which was rated #2 in the World for scenic drives. I also did laundry and the laundry room was very clean and affordable machines. They informed us the Clubhouse was closed for the winter season. We camped at Hitch-N-Post Campground in a Fifth Wheel.

Friendly staff, greeted us upon arrival. Helpful with weather information and offered brochures of Bryce Canyon. Convenient to town, we could walk to several restaurants. New owners seem very enthusiastic about area and summer events. We camped at Hitch-N-Post Campground in a Fifth Wheel.
