Santa Cruz Redwoods RV Resort , Felton, California

Date of Stay: April, 2012 - $50.00
Overall Rating:

Lovely setting set in the forested hills above Santa Cruz. Spaces are tight, but there are trees in each site that provide excellent shade and a bit of room between your neighbors. We had enough room for our slide out and canopy to operate. Family friendly with a club house with pool table, ping pong and a TV. Right next to a state park with plenty of hiking and mountain biking trails. Staff was friendly. Wi-Fi has been good so far. Restrooms are clean and well maintained. This is as good as it gets for private camping in the state of California, which is generally not very good. Would stay here again. We camped at Santa Cruz Redwoods RV Resort in a Travel Trailer.

Grants Pass KOA, Grants Pass, Oregon

Date of Stay: April, 2012 - $40.00
Overall Rating:

We recently stopped at this park for one night on our way south on I-5. We are frequent travelers on this route and often stay in and around Grants Pass, which is about our half way point for most trips. This is the nicest park we've stayed in so far. The owners were very welcoming and friendly. The park was clean and easy to navigate for our 30 foot travel trailer. Our kids loved the view of the falls and the turkeys and chickens wandering about. The park is close enough to I-5 to be easy on/easy off, but just far away enough to avoid most highway traffic noise. We will definitely plan to stay here again. Unfortunately, the owners have the park up for sale - we hope that the future buyers take as good a care as the current ones. We camped at Grants Pass KOA in a Travel Trailer.
