Gaylord KOA, Gaylord, Michigan

Date of Stay: July, 2012 - $35.00
Overall Rating:

Nice quiet park outside town. Plenty of trees, lots of grass. We stayed in a full-hookup site near the seasonal sites and enjoyed ourselves. Very friendly campers. We made some new friends, even though we were just passing through. Staff was very helpful and even talked me through backing in to the site. Nice facilities, they are working hard at updating campground. We camped at Gaylord KOA in a Travel Trailer.

Thunder Bay Golf & RV Resort, Hillman, Michigan

Date of Stay: July, 2012 - $34.00
Overall Rating:

Nice, quiet park. Sites were easy pull-throughs with paved parking. A great place to stay while exploring the area (don't miss Alpena's Maritime Museum). Exactly what you'd expect staying at a Golf Course, lots of campers who leave early in the morning and don't return until afternoon. Very friendly staff, would stay here again. We camped at Thunder Bay Golf & RV Resort in a Travel Trailer.

River Park Campground, Menominee, Michigan

Date of Stay: May, 2012 - $30.00

Great park, very quiet even though it is in the city. Easy setup on nice, level blacktop sites, plenty of grass between sites. Abundant trees, plenty of shade, but open enough to get a nice breeze. Would definitely stay here again! We camped at River Park Campground in a Travel Trailer.
