Red Trail Campground, Medora, North Dakota

Date of Stay: August, 2015 - $33.00
Overall Rating:

Friendly staff. Check-in was quick but somewhat redundant. We were escorted to our site and provided with expert back-in advice. Neighbors sewer drain was right at our front step. Luckily our neighbor was kind enough to stow his hose until he needed it. Very dusty throughout the facility. We were at the back of the park and the train was not bothersome. We did take advantage of the cable TV as I could not get the satellite to work due to the large cottonwoods. We camped at Red Trail Campground in a Fifth Wheel.

Tips for other Campers:

Highly recommend doing the Medora Music Festival. Get your tickets early as the show sells out on most nights. Very professional and highly entertaining production. The "Pitchfork Fondue" added to the experience but will forego standing in that line next time. We also took in the TRNP and saw lots of Bison, wild horses, turkey, and deer.

7th Ranch RV Camp, Garryowen, Montana

Date of Stay: August, 2015 - $38.00
Overall Rating:

The location is perfect for visiting Custer Battlefield NP which is why we are here. The pavement ends about 1/4 mile from the park entrance but is well maintained albeit a bit dusty. Park staff is very friendly. Check-in is quick and easy then you are escorted to your site. We were given the uppermost site in this hillside/terraced park which had an unending view. The park is well maintained and very clean. We camped at 7th Ranch RV Camp in a Fifth Wheel.

Tips for other Campers:

Must visit the Custer Battlefield National Park as well as the Museum at Garryowen. Very sobering to stand on the same ground where this legendary battle took place. Reading about it in history books does not compare to being there. Be sure to take in the driving tour as it will give you a better feel of how the battle took place and the lay of the land.

Fairmont RV Park, Anaconda, Montana

Date of Stay: August, 2015 - $31.00
Overall Rating:

Very friendly staff. We were concerned about the close proximity to the RR tracks however we never heard a train. Drought was taking its toll on the grass between sites. We camped at Fairmont RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Vale Trails RV Park , Vale, Oregon

Date of Stay: April, 2012 - $20.00
Overall Rating:

The rv park was very quiet and rv friendly. We have a big rig and didn't have any trouble getting into the site. The water was not turned on because the temperature was still cold at night. The sites were great and we will come back again. We camped at Vale Trails RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Crown Villa RV Resort, Bend, Oregon

Date of Stay: April, 2012 - $43.00
Overall Rating:

This is one of the prettiest parks we have ever stayed in. Each site has a lockable storage shed for full timers. Lots of room between sites giving a real open feel. All facilities are top notch. That said, we were disappointed in the fact there were no tables at any of the sites. Possibily because of winter snows and they may have been stored for the winter. Our biggest concern was the "Check in" policy. After hours was $40/night and we could write a check. During business hours it was cash or cc only, no checks. Also, with our military discount we paid: MORE!? Total of $42.84 to check in during business hours. I believe management needs to look at their policy. Had it not been for the In-Check issue, we would have rated this a 10 PLUS! We camped at Crown Villa RV Resort in a Fifth Wheel.
