Itasca State Park, Park Rapids, Minnesota

Date of Stay: June, 2018 - $31.00
Overall Rating:

Spots are very open, no privacy at all. The campground was busy but quiet. Two to three days are all you need to visit Itasca. We camped at Itasca State Park in a Tent Trailer.

Tips for other Campers:

Don't plan on spending more than a couple days here...just not much to do. Walking across the Mississippi is about it, the beach at the park is not that big and isn't a great beach anyhow.

Lake Carlos State Park, Alexandria, Minnesota

Date of Stay: August, 2015 - $34.00
Overall Rating:

Very crowded campground even during the week. The swimming beach was small and not very nice, the beach along the campground was longer and would have made a better location. Overall the park was just ok. We camped at Lake Carlos State Park in a Tent Trailer.

Sibley State Park, New London, Minnesota

Date of Stay: July, 2012 - $25.00
Overall Rating:

The restrooms smelled extremely bad, even though they were flush toilets. They smelled like vaults. Sites were pretty close together. We camped at Sibley State Park in a Tent Trailer.

Pleasant Pines Resort, Hackensack, Minnesota

Date of Stay: June, 2012 - $40.00
Overall Rating:

Very friendly staff, allowed us to leave our popup while we visited friends nearby the day of our checkout and we picked it up on the way home. Showers went from pleasant to scorching hot, then to freezing cold. There was a very neat lagoon that we camped right by, but the beach was not much. It was quiet, not a lot of campers, which was good as there was only one men and one women's restroom, and two shower stalls. There was a very clean port-a-biff available. Got to hear loons throughout the day and night. We camped at Pleasant Pines Resort in a Tent Trailer.
