Sakatah Lake State Park, Waterville, Minnesota

Date of Stay: July, 2017 - $28.00
Overall Rating:

Beautiful park, very convenient to Twin Cities. Quiet with a great bike trail running through it. The only negative was the mosquitoes, so will come back in the spring or fall next time. We camped at Sakatah Lake State Park in a Travel Trailer.

Lake Vermillion Recreation Area, Canistota, South Dakota

This park is a gem just outside of Sioux Falls. Beautiful sites and picturesque lake. We camped in the East campground. Lake is very busy on weekends but great for people watching. We camped at Lake Vermillion Recreation Area in a Travel Trailer.

Big River Resort (formerly Wabasha Motel and RV Park), Wabasha, Minnesota

Date of Stay: June, 2014 - $38.00
Overall Rating:

This campground is undergoing a lot of improvements, including a campground bath house that is brand new and very nice. It was unbelievably quiet, resulting in a great night's sleep. We drove through a number of other campgrounds in the area; none compare to Big River Resort. It is a great launching point for many attractions, including Lark Toys, Pearl Button Antiques, and all the beauty that Wabasha has to offer. The campground hosts were very friendly and helpful, giving us maps and coupons good for many of the local businesses. We will definitely return. We camped at Big River Resort (formerly Wabasha Motel and RV Park) in a Travel Trailer.

Interstate State Park, Taylors Falls, Minnesota

Date of Stay: May, 2014 - $28.00
Overall Rating:

We stayed on the Wisconsin side, north campground, in spot #33. The site was fine, but a lot of traffic in front of the site as we were close to the bath house. Great hiking trails and very friendly staff. Wisconsin side offers trail to Taylors Falls, which is great for a stop at the ice cream shops. Another trail further north provided access to downtown St. Croix Falls and the Dairy Queen. As the weekend was warm, these trails were most appreciated. We camped at Interstate State Park in a Travel Trailer.

Sleeping Giant Provincial Park, Pass Lake, Ontario

Date of Stay: September, 2013 - $44.00
Overall Rating:

We arrived late in the day (5pm) and were lucky to get a lakeside site. We camped in 216: and it was amazing. Beautiful views. Bring an extension cord as the power was over 75 feet away. Quite the drive but worth it. We camped at Sleeping Giant Provincial Park in a Travel Trailer.

Munising Tourist Park Campground, Munising, Michigan

Date of Stay: September, 2013 - $32.00
Overall Rating:

Great location close to Pictured Rocks boat cruise and Munising attractions. Hosts are very friendly and helpful. Bathrooms are in need of updates, but were clean. We stayed in spot 8 which was very spacious and right on the lake. Would have given it a higher rating had it not been for the road noise. We would stay here again but would sacrifice power for the seclusion of the tent sites. We camped at Munising Tourist Park Campground in a Travel Trailer.

FJ McLain State Park, Hancock, Michigan

Date of Stay: September, 2013 - $26.00
Overall Rating:

Great state park on Lake Superior. Sunsets were amazing. Sites are level and spacious. Bring an extension cord as the power was 75 feet away from the site. They are improving the bathrooms, but the existing ones are clean with plenty of hot water. Staff and campground hosts were friendly. We stayed in site 82, two nights so that we could take a day trip to Copper Harbor. We cannot wait to return to this beautiful park. We camped at FJ McLain State Park in a Travel Trailer.

Legendary Waters Resort & Casino Campground, Red Cliff, Wisconsin

Date of Stay: September, 2013 - $25.00
Overall Rating:

Positives: close to Bayfield, and there is a free shuttle to town. Negatives: Our reservation got mixed up, we had reserved site 20 (large site with water and electric) and were put in site 19, which had electricity but was barely large enough for our 22' trailer. Showers were clean, but the dressing area was not private. Dump station is backwards. Had we actually been given our reserved site, would have rated it 7. We camped at Legendary Waters Resort & Casino Campground in a Travel Trailer.

Hermann City Park Campground, Hermann, Missouri

Date of Stay: April, 2013 - $20.00
Overall Rating:

This park is probably quiet nice in the spring, but the weather was cold and rainy when we camped here, which caused the lower rating. There is a lot of road noise as the campground sits at the intersection of MO-19 and MO-100. The bathrooms were "closed for cleaning" the entire time we were there. There were a lot of local teens in the park after hours, which made it a little creepy. We paid for two nights, left after one night. We camped at Hermann City Park Campground in a Travel Trailer.

Table Rock Lake State Park, Branson, Missouri

Date of Stay: April, 2013 - $26.00
Overall Rating:

We camped five nights in campground #2, electric only site on the lake (#176). It is a beautiful campground, well maintained and very quiet - even with all the fisherman there for the weekend. We would have rated it a ten had the "non-potable" water been working at the dump-station. We will return! We camped at Table Rock Lake State Park in a Travel Trailer.
