Hitchin' Post RV Park, Hallsville, Texas

Date of Stay: April, 2012 - $27.00
Overall Rating:

We have stayed at this park numerous times. Per the last reviews it is only 1/4 mile from I 20 but great convenience. The restrooms, laundry are very clean, the staff are very friendly. Good pull through sites. The only "small" concern is their dog area has a lot of stickers/cockerburs which tend to get all over the dogs but lots of room for the dogs. Wish this small concern could be addressed. But love this small/family owned camp area. We camped at Hitchin' Post RV Park in a Motorhome.

Fantastic area. The owner and staff were wonderful, caring, friendly and maintained the grounds. Nice large dog area fenced. Enjoyed this campground so much we extended our time, and have already made Fall reservations. We will definitely stay here again. We camped at Murphy/Peace Valley KOA in a Motorhome.

Pride RV Resort, Waynesville, North Carolina

Date of Stay: March, 2012 - $41.00
Overall Rating:

When we made reservations they did not tell us that they had no hot water for the showers and laundry. We assume it was turned off for winter months but no one could give us an answer. Also, we were surprised when they told us we had to pay an extra $3 per day because we had 50amp. This was not on their website and they did not tell me when we made reservations. Across the stream is a lumber company and the smell of this and manure was unbearable at times. We would not stay here again. We camped at Pride RV Resort in a Motorhome.
