Definitely one of the top KOA's that we have stayed at over the last several years. Stayed for 3 days on a patio site. We prefer the pull through sites. However, there really isn't a bad site in the campground. WIFI adequate for picking up emails and general internet use. Satellite access on many of the sites. Campground is well maintained. Staff was courteous and accommodating. Great location for visiting the Wilmington area. Note: Entrance to campground comes up very fast as you travel down US17 Business and is tucked between a Speedway and a car wash. Will definitely return when in the area.

Exceeded our expectations. Great park. Great staff. Other than buddy sites, pull thru and back in are well spaced and private. This is a campground within a large county park with numerous other activity areas such as splash pad, huge dog park, water park, paved walking trails, paddle boats and boards, etc.. Limited satellite access for many sites due to trees. Easy drive to downtown. One word of caution is access due to tree cover on streets leading to park with motorhomes - many low hanging branches. We found best access from Folly to Camp to Riverland Drive. Also, Camp to Riverland is more open for a right turn. We will be back!

Overnight stay on way south. Road to campground entrance very narrow - use caution. Back section seemed tight for maneuvering a 45' motorhome with tow and I was able to get a site near the entrance. Worked out in that I could get satellite. However, did have to unhook. Staff very accommodating. Quiet.

Staff at check in very polite and helpful. Highway noise present but did not seem to be much of a problem for the row our site was in which was farthest away. They are working on more improvements to the campground and much of it is evidently still in process. My only complaint would be the dust off of the interior roads adjacent to the sites when a car of RV passed by. Satellite signal access was not possible due to tree cover. Cable worked fine. I would recommend taking a site on the first row F1 - F6.

We have stayed here before and were disappointed this year to find that the sites have not been taken care of as we remembered. All the sites and roads are gravel which is fine. However, many of the sites and raod edges are overrun with grass and weeds to the to the extent that for some, it is becoming hard to differentiate between the gravel and adjacent turf. Drainage after a rain also appears to be a problem with standing water. All the facilities such as the pool, office, etc., are beautiful and show excellent care and presentation. Staff at check in were very helpful. I hope they can get back on track with the grounds keeping and drainage. We shall see.

This one of nicer RV campgrounds we have stayed at. The park is well maintained and the facilities are immaculate. While there are many seasonal campers it is hard to tell with everything being so well maintained and consistent. Many sites have good satellite access and my Verizon LTE signal was strong. Will definitely return and would request to be in the newer 300 series section.

First time at this resort. Previously stayed at Hearthside. However, I like this location better. Was an ownership resort at one time and now all rentals from class A's to Class C's and TT's. Everything is very well maintained. Strong internet. Did have to relocate to another site for satellite access. If important may want to check out on arrival. Best to unhook tow at entry. No planned resort activities. Will definitely return.

Stayed for 4 nights. Wonderful experience; level, spacious, full hook up sites. Quiet and well taken care of - spotless. Staff was excellent and very friendly from check in through our entire stay. About 50% seasonal sites. They are in the process of adding new sites that are in a more open area for satellite signal. This is not really a "kids" campground in that there are no play areas, pool, etc, which was fine for our purpose of exploring the area. Will definitely return.

Fairly new (1-2 years) campground and the owners are working hard to further develop. The staff are courteous and accommodating. We were in the upper section (close to entrance) with a full hookup pull through site that was fairly level. Spacing is a little better than what you typically see at a KOA. No gas stations or C stores nearby, may want to stop ahead of time. This was an overnight stop for us between WI and NC. Have stayed here 3 times so far and would use again.

Close to Emerald Isle. An Encore/TT park. Rate based on using our PA membership. Mostly seasonal sites with about 30 overnight. Verizon signal was good and we used our hot spot. Place does get busy on the weekends - kids, golf carts, etc.. However, noise never was a problem during our stay and the park basically goes quiet at dusk. Especially quiet on the weekdays. Pool with large waterslide. Security guard/gate at the entrance. Sites have full hookups, are back in, level and reasonably spaced. No trees between sites and we had good satellite access. Plenty of room for our 45' motorhome to maneuver - site and the roads. The park overall is well maintained and the staff were very friendly and accommodating. Will definitely use again when in the area.

Stayed for two days while we visited St. Augustine. There were a fair number of seasonals in the section we stayed in. Sites are a little tight for our 45' motorhome - but managed. No frills campground. Staff were very nice and overall the campground was is good shape. As mentioned in other reviews, satellite access is limited due to the trees. However, I see that they have been thinning them out. If satellite is important, be sure to tell them at time of reservation so they can accommodate. May return. However, would like to check out other campgrounds in the area also.

Wonderful State park. Sites are level and well spaced. Roads were easy to navigate. Pleasant helpful staff. Stayed for a week. Will return.

Overnight stop en route to Florida. Great choice. Friendly owners, clean, quiet campground with level spacious pull through sites. Easy access to interstate. Will definitely return.

One of the nicer KOA's that we have stayed at. Friendly staff and a really nice, clean wooded park with adjacent lake. Great for walks with our dogs. Had a pull through site for our 45' motorhome. Site spacing is typical of many KOA's, a little tight but not to the extent of being uncomfortable. Close to I-95. Satellite access was good. However, I can see where it could be a problem with many of the other sites due to trees. Will return here again when in the area to visit Savannah.
