Rogue Elk Campgound, Trail, Oregon

Date of Stay: September, 2014 - $24.00
Overall Rating:

Nice little Jackson County Park where the Elk Creek flows into the Rogue River. Paved roads and spaces with many trees. A little tight maneuvering in the park with our 40' RV but made it ever so nicely around to our site. Nice wide and level spaces with water, elec, table and fire ring (dump station at exit). Wonderful view of the Rogue River right out our front window. We had 4 bars ATT cell and 4G data for WiFi. No roof top satellite or over the air antenna. Some traffic noise from Hwy 62 during the day, but quiet at night. Very nice Host. We will return to this wonderful park on the river. We camped at Rogue Elk Campgound in a Motorhome.

Lake of the Woods Resort, Klamath Falls, Oregon

Date of Stay: June, 2014 - $43.00
Overall Rating:

Old growth trees make the resort a beautiful place to camp. Wide spaces with downed large trees divide some sites. Our site (R23) wasn't very level but made it work with a little "lumber" we carry with us. Auto-levelers don't like dips in the ground. Cabins to rent, general store, marina with cafe/bar at the lake. Several hiking trails. In summer months, Friday movie night at General Store, Saturday night BBQ at lodge with live band, Sunday night entertainment also. Love the red Adirondack chairs everywhere. Too many trees for roof dish or TV antenna. Good cell and Wi-Fi. They need to update web site. The prices vary on BBQ. Very Friendly staff. We camped at Lake of the Woods Resort in a Motorhome.

AtRivers Edge RV Resort, Brookings, Oregon

Date of Stay: May, 2014 - $36.00
Overall Rating:

Nice RV Park with a front window view of the Chetco River. Wide spaces both back-in and pull through. Friendly Staff. The road coming into the park is kind of steep, but we managed it well in our 40ft RV. Cute little cabins to rent. Excellent WiFi and plenty of cable TV channels. We had Cell service, also. Far enough from the coast so as not to get the winds and the fog. But close enough to do some sight seeing and lunch. Clean and manicured yards. Nice place and wished we could of stayed longer. We will definitely be back. We camped at AtRivers Edge RV Resort in a Motorhome.

Howard Prairie Lake Resort, Ashland, Oregon

Date of Stay: August, 2013 - $28.00
Overall Rating:

Nice Jackson county campground about 4500ft in elevation. Large sites with lots of trees, but not very level for large RVs. There were deer, ducks, geese and two bald eagles fishing across the lake. Sail boats, ski boats paddle boats and of course fishing boats. They have friendly staff and host. Little store with mostly fishing tackle, cafe, soft serve ice cream and marina. Clean restroom and 25 cent showers. We had no Internet or satellite. Others had satellite dishes on a 100ft cable out in a clearing. We did have cell service. Very peaceful, even with it being a busy weekend. We will return. We camped at Howard Prairie Lake Resort in a Motorhome.

Grants Pass Oregon KOA (formerly Joe Creek Waterfalls RV Resort), Grants Pass, Oregon

Date of Stay: May, 2013 - $27.00
Overall Rating:

Close to I-5 for a overnight stay, yet far enough that you don’t hear much road noise. Very nice park with some permanent residents that you wouldn't even notice. Nice fenced dog run. Extremely clean restrooms and showers. Nice level gravel spaces. Over the air TV, but too many trees for satellite in our site. Turkeys walking through in morning. Cute store with lots of goodies. Joe Creek Falls in the park. We stayed here two nights and will defiantly come back again. Very helpful staff and owners. We camped at Grants Pass Oregon KOA (formerly Joe Creek Waterfalls RV Resort) in a Motorhome.

Indian Mary County Park, Merlin, Oregon

Date of Stay: September, 2012 - $22.00
Overall Rating:

Nice spaces in a county park with a lot of grassy area and trees. Sites are set up back and to your side, so it seams like no one right next to you. No AT&T Cell, no internet and too many trees for Satellite at our site. No pay phone either. Made for a non electronic weekend. Park is right next to the Rogue River with a sandy beach area for swimming. New boat ramp was put in recently. Nice 18 disc golf course. Helpful county park attendants that are here full time. Camp-host were gone for the season. We did hear traffic now and then on road during the day. What can you do about very loud Crows and Blue jays? Night time was nice and quiet. Six deer came threw our camp site at dusk. We will stay here again. We camped at Indian Mary County Park in a Motorhome.

Schroeder Park, Grants Pass, Oregon

Date of Stay: July, 2012 - $22.00
Overall Rating:

Nice family county park. We were in #5, a pull-through with full hookups. Our site was up on a little hill with the view of a nice grass area with a volley ball court. No one close to us all around. We could see the Hell-gate jet boats go by on the Rogue River also. The jet boats are a fun thing to do as it is only a few miles away. Be prepared to get wet. There are a lot of shade trees, so no roof-top satellite TV signal. But we were able to get a few over the air HD channels. As in most parks, dogs are to be on a leash. Except if you’re a little yippy dog that runs up to other dogs on leashes and has a very high pitched bark. Oh well, we will be back. Park host was very nice and helpful. We camped at Schroeder Park in a Motorhome.

We had a wonderful time walking around the beach and harbor. There was surfing classes going on that was fun to watch. The little cafe has very good food. The sites were a little close but not bad as our site was looking right at the ocean. We will stay here again We camped at Beachfront RV Park in a Motorhome.
