River Park RV Park, Valdosta, Georgia

Date of Stay: January, 2013 - $30.00
Overall Rating:

Yes, it is clean, yes there are trees, yes they have WiFi. It is NOT QUIET! It is right next I-75 and there are lots of big noisy trucks passing. Also, there are lots of lights on in the park. It is very hard to make the camper dark for sleeping. The pad we had, was cracked and uneven with a deep dip at the end, making it easy to scrape your trailer. Their ad in Woodalls says it is quiet, well it is not! They should not misrepresent their park in ads. We camped at River Park RV Park in a Travel Trailer.

Gulf State Park Campground, Gulf Shores, Alabama

Date of Stay: December, 2012 - $28.00
Overall Rating:

This a wonderful park with lots to do. Sites are paved, clean and the bath houses are new and up to date. The cabins are very nice and on a lake. There are great bike/hiking trails. The park includes a long ocean front park. There is a lake for fishing and a long ocean dock for fishing. The park has a nice community center and nature center. The staff is very friendly and helpful. This park took a beating with the hurricane but has come back full force. They have planted trees, and there are a few areas that the storm left intact and are wooded. I would definitely stay again. We camped at Gulf State Park Campground in a Travel Trailer.

Love this park! Great large wooded view sites. Neat, clean and well kept. Hilly and good for walking, biking. Nice pavilion for gatherings. Lake is beautiful and many sites have views. Then go down the Mtn. and visit Helen. We camped at Georgia Mountain Fair Campground in a Travel Trailer.

Stone Mountain Park Campground, Stone Mountain, Georgia

Date of Stay: April, 2012 - $57.00
Overall Rating:

It has a wonderful light show, climbing Stone Mtn is a great feat and beautiful views, hiking, walking and many other assets to the park. There is a nice pavilion with a great fireplace. The free boat ride is really short, 15 minutes. However, we were surprised how unkempt it was. Stones in the grass, no sites blown off, grass uncut, shower/bath houses OK but not superb which I think they should be for the $$$ we pd. We had to spray for termites as they were swarming around our camper. I did not see any maintenance people, only the trash truck. I guess people come for the rides and amusements. We camped at Stone Mountain Park Campground in a Travel Trailer.
