Landscaping is complete (reference to a past review), so we found this to be the quietest, and best-maintained park we've ever stayed in. It's a different experience with no evergreens: hardwood trees provide ample shade. The park has a residential feel, with luxurious sod and double-size concrete pads for each site. Staff was friendly, and appreciative of our positive comments regarding appearance of the park. Easy walk to the lake! Hubby loved the cable TV access; we didn't pay for WiFi (used our vehicle's WiFi). We enjoyed our week so much we're going back later this summer. We camped at Woodland Park in a Motorhome.
Try the antique shop east of town or Sauble Beach Raceway (weekends only). Sand beach is fabulous, but pay-to-park. Main strip is touristy but clean! Drive to Wiarton for a patio lunch; drive north to Tobermory for diving, kayaking, glass-bottom boat tours, lots of restaurants, or ferry to Manitoulin Island for the day. If it rains, Owen Sound offers a movie theatre and big-box store shopping. This area has it all.

Definitely family oriented, many children but so very quiet overnight, and grounds are kept very clean. Many residents gather in the evening for congenial campfire chats. 50 amp service and WiFi were both slightly overpowered at peak times, but a surge protector is invaluable in these situations when everyone needs A/C. Wonderful location as tour base. We camped at Land of Evangeline Family Camping Resort in a Motorhome.
Good shopping in New Minas. Hike Cape Split but stop fot ice cream at Look Off- what a vista! Browse in Wolfville. Eat lobster and enjoy the drive to Halls Harbour. This is a fabulous area to explore.

We had a reserved a full-service site, but chose a 2-service site to take advantage of the spectacular view of the harbour...so idyllic. Check-in is very casual, just walk across to the gas station/convenience store once you're set up. walk to the fabulous inn for an oceanside view. Shop in the amazing gallery across the street. Plentiful hiking and touring in the area.
No cell reception, but great free WiFi...slow at peak times though. We drove a short distance back toward the main highway to make phone calls.
This is a gem of a place not far off TransCanada but watch for potholes if you have a big rig. We camped at King's Point RV Park in a Motorhome.
Drive to Rattling Brook Falls and walk the boardwalk to see a fabulous vistas. Take a picnic and explore the coastline.
