On-Ur-Wa RV Park, Onawa, Iowa

Date of Stay: September, 2017 - $37.00
Overall Rating:

We stopped at On-Ur-Wa RV Park on our way to Glacier Park. This family owned park is very well maintained. Our reservations were in order upon arrival. We were escorted to our site. Level and easy in-and-out P/T with full hook ups. We would stay here again if in the area. We camped at On-Ur-Wa RV Park in a Motorhome.

Yellowstone Grizzly RV Park, West Yellowstone, Montana

Date of Stay: September, 2017 - $74.00
Overall Rating:

Beautiful Park, Professional and friendly staff, nice office and store. We were allowed to not only wash our windshield, but also wash our rig. Level sites with well manicured lawns and trees. Very close to Yellowstone. A lot of eating choices, nice Imax and a Grizzly and Wolf discovery opportunity. Poor internet service, but our Verizon service was good. A little pricey, but one of the nicest parks we have stayed in. We would stay here again if we are in the area. We camped at Yellowstone Grizzly RV Park in a Motorhome.

Osens RV Park & Campground, Livingston, Montana

Date of Stay: September, 2017 - $49.00
Overall Rating:

After driving down a narrow street (too narrow for a car to pass your rig) we pulled onto this lovely well manicured drive into the park. Such a great first impression! The first impression quickly paled to the second impression. We walked into a small office to face the receptionist who was very much in charge and wanted to ensure you knew it. First thing, she argued with me about the size of my motorhome. You would think the driver/owner would know the length of their rig. But after a long day on the road who wants to argue. Just put down whatever you think it should be. Then started the litany of rules. I chuckled inside as the speech droned on and on because it brought to mind the lyrics of an old song; "Sign, sign, everywhere a sign, Blockin' out the scenery, breakin' my mind Do this, don't do that, can't you read the sign?" Oh well, your park your rules. We finally signed, paid and got to our P/T sight. The space was so short that by the time I got my RV and tow vehicle into the assigned space, the utility hook ups were so far away that I could not even hook up my sewer. Again a beautiful well manicured park. If you can survive the rules, you could have an enjoyable stay. We stayed one night on our way to Glacier Park. We camped at Osens RV Park & Campground in a Motorhome.

Colter Bay Village RV Park -- Full Hookups (Concessionaire Operated) , Grand Teton National Park, Wyoming

Date of Stay: September, 2017 - $59.00
Overall Rating:

Beautiful park in the Grand Teton National Park. Staff was very nice and our reservations were in order. The sites are not level and they were very difficult to get into. The trees are very close together making it difficult to set up to allow the slides to come open. We were not able to open our canopy because of the trees and limbs. There is NO internet service in the RV park and very limited cell service. Colter Bay Village does offer some "Hot Spots" but it is not convenient to get this service. A grocery store, gift shops, visitor's center, restaurant, horse back riding, boat rental and other activities are all available. Great walking trails and we were close to the Lake. We camped at Colter Bay Village RV Park -- Full Hookups (Concessionaire Operated) in a Motorhome.

Convenient location off the interstate. Sites are not well developed. Upon arrival we were told to "pick out a site." Limited internet. Wal-Mart is within walking distance. Park is dusty and Colby is windy. We camped at Whistle Stop RV and Antiques in a Motorhome.

AB Camping & RV Park, Cheyenne, Wyoming

Date of Stay: September, 2017 - $42.00
Overall Rating:

Very good Internet service. Spaces were tight and roads were tight. Our reservations were not in order when we arrived, however, they worked very professionally to make sure we got a site that would work. Friendly staff. A restaurant is attached to the office. I would stay at this park again. We camped at AB Camping & RV Park in a Motorhome.

Mountain Meadow RV Park, Hungry Horse, Montana

Date of Stay: August, 2017 - $44.00
Overall Rating:

This is a uniquely designed camp. No two sites are the same. While some sites may be good with tree coverage, the site we were assigned was not good. We could not get our 43' motor coach level. The site was so narrow we had to park at an angle just to get our slides open. There was a dirt bank on one side and a steep drop off on the other. We were not able to open either of our canopies. This is no place for a beginner to practice. The interior roads are spider webbed and very difficult to navigate. The staff was very nice and helpful. They have a beautiful pond and a well developed pet area. This is very close to Glacier Park, which was the motivator for choosing this park. Utilities were all good. Internet non existent at our site. Verizon was workable. We camped at Mountain Meadow RV Park in a Motorhome.

High Plains RV Resort, Piedmont, South Dakota

Date of Stay: August, 2017 - $17.00
Overall Rating:

This rv park is a field with some underground services ran. No one was there upon our arrival. The sites we had received were either not available or did not have working services. Finally the "owner" drove by and told us to just find something that would work and hook up. There is a great store with RV supplies at Jack's Campers, but no other amenities are provided. We stayed 2 nights while visiting Devil's Tower. We camped at High Plains RV Resort in a Motorhome.
