Boise / Meridian KOA, Meridian, Idaho

Date of Stay: September, 2012 - $33.00
Overall Rating:

We stayed here while visiting relatives in the Boise area. It does not have the feel of a back to nature campground, units are packed pretty close together and it was quite full during the 3 nights we stayed. However it serves its purpose very well as a place to stay while enjoying what the Boise area has to offer. The sites have full hook ups and they have the full range of amenities typically offered at a KOA. We camped at Boise / Meridian KOA in a Motorhome.

Bear Den RV Resort , Grangeville, Idaho

Date of Stay: September, 2012 - $28.00
Overall Rating:

We stayed here overnight on our way to Boise. We had full hook ups and were quite happy with our experience. It is a small campground, initially looks unexceptional, and has no shade. But as you look around the owners are putting a lot of work into it. For us, it currently would serve only as an overnight site, but others were spending several nights and exploring the surrounding areas. We camped at Bear Den RV Resort in a Motorhome.

West Glacier KOA, West Glacier, Montana

Date of Stay: September, 2012 - $55.00
Overall Rating:

This is a very nice campground with many amenities. Our site was good sized with nice green grass on either side of the RV. People are friendly. It is located very close to the west glacier entrance. I do think their laundry mat is a little expensive. It was $2.50 for wash and $1.50 for dry. That's more than we have paid elsewhere. However, we enjoyed our stay and would come back if we ever get to visit Glacier NP again. We camped at West Glacier KOA in a Motorhome.

St. Mary / East Glacier KOA, St Mary, Montana

Date of Stay: August, 2012 - $54.00
Overall Rating:

We had a great view from our campsite and experienced the atmosphere and blustery weather of East Glacier NP. We loved it! We had a full hook-up site although while we were there the Wi-Fi was having some problems. The staff is great. Breakfast and dinner is available on site. Our 1/2 lb. cheeseburger was great. They have a neat store with gifts and groceries. The staff also assisted us in obtaining Glacier Park tour reservations. We camped at St. Mary / East Glacier KOA in a Motorhome.

Jim & Mary's RV Park, Missoula, Montana

We did an "overnight" here on our way to Glacier NP. This place is like a well maintained city park! A park with beautiful flower displays at every site. It was incredible. Our full hook-up site was great. The staff was extremely friendly and we wished we had more time to spend there. What a great place to relax and unwind! We camped at Jim & Mary's RV Park in a Motorhome.

Colter Bay Village RV Park -- Full Hookups (Concessionaire Operated) , Grand Teton National Park, Wyoming

Date of Stay: August, 2012 - $50.00
Overall Rating:

We loved the atmosphere at this park. Although it reminded us of the rustic campgrounds of our youth we had full hook-ups for our rig. The campground was full but because of the way the sites are staggered it didn't feel like others were on top of us. We had easy walking distance to Jackson Lake, the visitor center, places to eat and a grocery/gift shop. I'd love to come back some day. We camped at Colter Bay Village RV Park -- Full Hookups (Concessionaire Operated) in a Motorhome.

My wife and I greatly enjoyed our 3 night stay at this park. Our back-in site was lovely and the grass nice and green. We caught up on our laundry at their clean laundry mat. Very close to Yellowstone and we walked nightly through parts of the town of West Yellowstone with our dogs. Very nice stay all around. We camped at Yellowstone Grizzly RV Park in a Motorhome.

Rocky Mountain RV Park, Gardiner, Montana

Date of Stay: August, 2012 - $52.00
Overall Rating:

This is a great place to stay. The owner and staff were very friendly and helpful. Our site had full hook ups and nice green grass. The view from our site out towards North Yellowstone and the Yellowstone River was awesome. They are very pet friendly. The pet area was fenced in with grass such as you'd find on a golf course. If we are fortunate enough to come back to Yellowstone some day we'd stay here again. We camped at Rocky Mountain RV Park in a Motorhome.

Devils Tower KOA, Devils Tower, Wyoming

Date of Stay: August, 2012 - $49.00
Overall Rating:

[The campground is adjacent to Devils Tower and the view of Devils Tower from the campground is awesome. We stayed 2 nights. We had a full hook up site and everything worked fine. It was non-shaded but fortunately the weather was nice. As we walked are dogs around the campground the place really grew on us. It has something for everyone. Great tent sites, nicely located cabins and there were nicely shaded RV sites. My major disappointment, which may sound minor to some, is they didn't show the movie "Close Encounters of the 3rd Kind" outside as expected but showed it in a dining room ill-suited for movie viewing instead. Not nearly the cool atmosphere I and many other viewers were expecting. The staff member welcoming us to the camp explained they quit showing the movie outside because it was ending too late for some of their viewers. Instead it started at 5 PM in the dining room. Several viewers the night I was there also expressed disappointment. We camped at Devils Tower KOA in a Motorhome.

Niobrara State Park, Niobrara, Nebraska

Date of Stay: August, 2012 - $18.00
Overall Rating:

This is a very nice campground within beautiful Niobrara State Park. The sites have electrical only, but water is available and the dump station is well setup. Some sites have shade, but most are sunny although small trees dot the grassy campground making for a nice feel. The park itself is a nice place to drive around in and there are several hiking trails. One trail includes going across the Niobrara River on an old, unused railroad bridge. We took lots of pictures. The staff is very friendly and the park well maintained. We'd come back if ever in the area again. We camped at Niobrara State Park in a Motorhome.

Waubonsie State Park, Hamburg, Iowa

Date of Stay: August, 2012 - $16.00
Overall Rating:

We used Waubonsie as an overnight stop. We did not have reservations but the park ranger was very helpful in helping us locate a suitable spot for our motorhome. The campground presents a pretty little park setting and we enjoyed walking around with our dogs. Arriving here was at the end of a long drive and meeting the friendly park ranger really provided a lift. We would stay again if ever passing through the area. We camped at Waubonsie State Park in a Motorhome.
