We have been going to this park since it opened, usually at LEAST twice a year and consider this our home park. The park has been going downhill quickly, and when we say something we get the 'reasons' that they must use on those that haven't been coming here for years. The roads have BIG potholes. "It's rained too much." The wifi still doesn't work. "It's rained too much." The cable is terrible. (Guess what they say.) The concrete sites are broken up and unlevel in the two we tried before settling on one last time. This park was SO good: sad to see it go down so much.

Having stayed there before, it was acceptable, but this time, gosh! There is a real problem with a park taking your reservations, charging your card, and Not telling you their entrance road was closed! When we got there they said we had to take our 44 foot RV and toad through a parking lot, on a gravel road with low hanging branches, etc. and wouldn't think about giving us a refund !

This park used to be a 10/10/10, but has gone downhill. You should have good shocks and tires before you enter the HORRIBLE roads throughout the park. Potholes and mud holes every few feet. Maybe that is their way of slowing all RVs down to two MPH? We stayed in a 'premium lake front' site with 'views' of the lake. The poor design of the sites put the sewer/water/electric pedestals on the 'wrong' side and therefore the curb/awning side was away from the lake. But, it didn't matter, because of the number of untreated fire ant hills all over the site made it difficult to sit out without being in one. My feet are still hurting from all the bites while hooking up the utilities. Going to suggest that Good Sam come back and reevaluate this park.

We made reservations for November, but were in town in September and rode through this park. Not sure how it can be rated so high. I am convinced the park management reviewed it because: 1) our jeep barely fit down the one track muddy lane to the park, motor home would have had real difficulty 2) most sites were just a dirt and gravel and construction trucks that limited access 3) trash and filth everywhere 4) cancellation policy only revealed after paid ! No refunds !

very, VERY nice park! Odd that you couldn't reserve a spot, that you had to race around the park to see what was open and then race back before someone else took that spot ! All sites are owned and the staff just rents them out for the owners so since owned some have many more amenities than others. One of our group had a waterfront site with decks, etc... lovely !!! but they saw and brought home some furry 'friends' - rats.

very, VERY bad access to the park entrance - difficult to get in and out with an auto, much less an RV combo at around 65 feet! speed bumps were very rough on the rv's, and since we were in the back had many to cross. Heavy traffic along three sides of the park, but air conditioners drowned it out. Grass sites and very hot - no shade. we won't go back. 'Stickers' everywhere - had to carry and clean dog every walk.

Full time oilfield and refinery workers with loud trucks that would get up at 4 am and race through the park. Poor rundown section too far east to be consider houston. Got in trouble for parking with my overhang past the concrete end. We will not go back.

While this is touted as an RV resort the 3 couples with us all agreed it was more of a 'trailer park' with all the negative connotations of that ! They do not reserve specific sites (we were moved after our reservation). This park is wedged between the interstate, a plowed field, and a high traffic 55 mph speed limit road. (i.e. LOUD!) All sites are tight and short and they emphasized that we NOT hang our slides over the edge of the site. Then the oilfield workers leaving in their loud pickup trucks at 4:30 in the morning all week and the weekend was a free upgrade. Will not go back.

Some of the neighbors there loved the park as it was their home, but after leaving another park, this was quite a letdown! Large park, long entrance road with at LEAST 20 no more than 2 MPH speed bumps that have to be bounced through every time you enter and leave the park. Pull-through site was barely long enough to get all our leveling jacks on, mostly grass/dirt sites. May 'stickers' that our dog was not happy with. Getting into and out of the park was a real issue in that it was a very busy 4 lane 55 mph highway with no acceleration lanes and traffic as far as the eye could see everyday we were there! Used it to visit Charleston area, but probably will not go back. And if the park management reads this - You really need to reconsider those speed bumps and the community garbage cans, both really detracted from your park.

Great park ! Beautiful setting, great amenities, friendly staff, right on the water of a GEE-OR-GEOUS island. The ONLY thing they could improve would be to allow you to reserve a particular site, but even the worst site is better than most sites! While the obnoxious next door neighbors weren't the parks fault, management not toning them down definitely suppressed the best park on our Savannah trip.

As stated by others, site was cramped, hard to get into, and would have been difficult to find if I had not looked at Google maps overview before heading there. Had real difficulty contacting the park to make and/or change reservations. The park office phone usually wasn't answered and had to call the casino to be transferred. Stayed there one night as a stop over only. Will more than likely not go back

Small, but very nice setting. Worried going down what seemed like a small country two lane, but no problems finding it or fitting our large RV. Very pretty setting with horses and pastures and quiet ! Would stay there again!

Let me start by saying the storage facility we use to store our RV is a better campground than this place! A view of an 18 wheeler and the broken concrete and limestone roadbeds was the best picture I could post. I am extremely concerned about every Good Sam rating if they rated this 8.5/9/7/5. Will remember this as the worst we've stayed in. Facilities: dusty limestone & gravel throughout the section we were in with piles where they dumped 2 or 3 dump truck loads around the perimeter did not want to venture elsewhere. Amenities: The dog run was a 10'x10' with tall grass and weeds with an old kids swimming pool that I had to keep the dog away from in case he tried to drink it. I asked how they got their Good Sam rating and got a surly answer. Services: there were none. I didn't see any trash receptacles around when we left so took our garbage with us.

Sorely disappointed in so many ways with this park that our group of four rv's stayed one night and left the next day. Muddy, cramped, tight, overgrown sites. Mosquito's such that we couldn't sit outside. No cell, sat or cable or OTA tv service. I scratched my brand new rv getting in and/or out... (couldn't tell until after I got it washed it was so muddy!) but I was lucky - saw damaged trees right on the inside of the narrow turns that must have taken out some rv's ! We won't go back - but I will temper this review saying we haven't done the tent thing in 30 years - not into that any longer.

Stunning park even if it is the middle of the 'city' and run by the city. You will not be disappointed, but you shouldn't be for the rates they can charge. 99% of the other rv's were high end rv's adding to the ambience. Tons to do within 10 minutes of the area (by car only). Waterfront sites available, some even out on points surrounded on three sides by the lake. Boat ramp in the park and large marina within site as well.
