Rayburn Park (COE), Pineland, Texas

Date of Stay: March, 2012 - $13.00
Overall Rating:

They keep raising the rates because "they can", because it is a popular COE campground on Lake Sam Rayburn. Many senior pass holders camp here and I think they are finding they have to raise the rates in order to pay for their 2 campground hosts. It is a great campground, surrounded on 3 sides by water, and the boat ramps are nice and bathrooms are always clean. Out of the 2 campground hosts, I only see one (a lady) doing all the work. She's friendly and helpful and hard working. We camped at Rayburn Park (COE) in a Motorhome.

Midway Park COE, Waco, Texas

Date of Stay: October, 2011 - $12.00
Overall Rating:

We have stayed in this park several times and it is a very good campground. We had a full hookup site so we have never used the restrooms. It is convenient to Waco, where we have relatives and friends and we stop off here for a night after traveling about 150 miles, so it makes for an easy day. I have never had issues with anything in this campground. People working at the entrance check-in booth were friendly and helpful. Was able to put my direct tv dish up and it was just like being at home. With the senior pass rate, this is a bargain. We camped at Midway Park COE in a Fifth Wheel.
