Calhoun A-KO Campground (formerly Calhoun KOA), Calhoun, Georgia

Date of Stay: April, 2012 - $35.00
Overall Rating:

Small spaces. Neighbors 3 feet away. No really level spots. Not much road to maneuver a large motorhome. Lots of mud. Extremely noisy peacock at all hours of the night. Park needs to be cleaned up and modernized . Overpriced at $35 per night for conditions. We camped at Calhoun A-KO Campground (formerly Calhoun KOA) in a Motorhome.

Fort Mountain State Park, Chatsworth, Georgia

Date of Stay: April, 2012 - $28.00
Overall Rating:

Had a fantastic time here. Spent 3 wonderful days in this lush forest. Staff very friendly and helpful. The only slightly negative problem were the steep uphill climb though the mountains. But my motorhome came through like a champ. The roads were wide, and well maintained. I just would be nervous to do the climb in the winter months. Fantastic value for the $28. I recommend it to all. The sites were really first class, under a lovely forest canopy. We camped at Fort Mountain State Park in a Motorhome.
