Stone Mountain Park Campground, Stone Mountain, Georgia

Date of Stay: July, 2016 - $47.00
Overall Rating:

Very nice park and setting. Heavily treed with sites tucked in the woods. Our site was tight and close to neighbors and had barely enough room for our tow vehicle. The park itself was full and busy, check in was a breeze. Have to pay $15 entry fee on top of the campground rate. We used this as a base to see things in the area, its a little on the outskirts of Atlanta but not any nice options we could find in town. We camped at Stone Mountain Park Campground in a Motorhome.

Ocean Lakes Family Campground, Myrtle Beach, South Carolina

Date of Stay: July, 2016 - $84.00
Overall Rating:

This is a very large busy park. The beach access is the highlight of the park as its a few steps away. The park has many amenities, too many to list. The new waterpark is very nice and clean. The slides and lazy river keep kids busy. They really need 2-3 of these water parks to serve this campground as it is very full/busy. The beach was very nice and clean. The ice cream shop is a nice touch and convenient. Be aware that there is alot(understatement) of golf car activity all day and night here(till 11pm). Overall its a wonderful place to enjoy the beach and waterpark, but very busy(crowded) at times. We camped at Ocean Lakes Family Campground in a Motorhome.

Newport / I-40 / Smoky Mountains KOA, Newport, Tennessee

Date of Stay: July, 2016 - $41.00
Overall Rating:

This park was ok for an overnight. However as many other reviews have mentioned there are alot of trailers and run down campers in this park. We had a pull through that was just barely long enough but it worked. The hookups were good no issues. Pool was closed as chemicals were just added but looked nice enough. Road into park was narrow and dicey and sites were very tight. We would look for other options next time, although not many in this immediate area. We camped at Newport / I-40 / Smoky Mountains KOA in a Motorhome.

We arrived late and left early but the attendant was very nice and accommodating. Property was very clean, small pull-through spots perfect for overnight. No picnic table or fire rings but nice grounds, and hookups. We camped at The Red Barn Rendezvous in a Motorhome.

Traverse Bay RV Resort, Williamsburg, Michigan

Date of Stay: August, 2014 - $65.00
Overall Rating:

Park is immaculate. Pool is small but very nice. Shower facilities are among the nicest we've encountered. Internet and cable were both good, although its a little bit of a pain using their provider launch page that made connecting slow for Internet access. This is a luxury RV resort so its a little stuffy, but everyone was very nice and accommodating. We would stay again. We camped at Traverse Bay RV Resort in a Motorhome.

Sandpiper RV Resort, Galveston, Texas

Date of Stay: June, 2014 - $45.00
Overall Rating:

Very clean park, as close to the beach as possible. You can see the waves breaking from your RV window. Some sites don't have a view but most do. The sites are level with full concrete pads. Very clean functional hookups, and the Wi-Fi is spectacular. The pool and hot tub area is worthy of calling this a resort. Park is far enough from the touristy stuff but still right on Stewart Beach. We camped at Sandpiper RV Resort in a Motorhome.

Northlake Village RV Park, Northlake, Texas

Date of Stay: June, 2014 - $30.00
Overall Rating:

This is a nice, very clean park. We stopped for one night and it was just right. Concrete patio with gravel pad, nice and level. This park has many long term residents with all the grounds kept very clean. The road into the park needs repair and is rough, but hardly worth not visiting this park. Slim pickings in this area, but this park has full hookups and is clean. We would stay again. This is not a destination park but is great if you have other activities in the area. We camped at Northlake Village RV Park in a Motorhome.

Clean quiet no frills campground. Concrete pads with full hookups. This is a great overnight commuting campground, 6 miles from the highway. WiFi is fast and has great signal strength. We camped at Cedar Valley RV Park in a Motorhome.

Yogi Bear's Jellystone Park of Estes, Estes Park, Colorado

Date of Stay: July, 2013 - $42.00
Overall Rating:

There isn't much to choose from in Estes, However this is the most mountain feeling campground in the area that can accommodate most rigs. The campground has wonderful views of the surrounding mountains, as well as many trees to add to the mountain feel. The roads are steep with gravel sites mostly terraced. There are lots of activities to keep the kids busy. There are only a few sites that would accommodate larger rigs. It's in close proximity to Estes without being in town. The staff was nice and helpful with any needs. The pool was adequate, but not resort quality, nice playgrounds, arcade and horseshoe pit. This could be a very nice campground with a little more attention to landscape and clean up as it was very overgrown. We camped at Yogi Bear's Jellystone Park of Estes in a Motorhome.

Goodland KOA, Goodland, Kansas

Date of Stay: July, 2013 - $50.00
Overall Rating:

Everything worked and showers were very clean. The location is nice and close to the highway easy on and easy off. Kids used the pool, but it was nothing extra, however it was clean and the kids got wet. The mini golf course was a joke, $2 and not even close to being playable, major disrepair. The campground itself was rather depressing with the lack of trees or landscape, but I guess it is to be expected in western Kansas. We would stay here again for an overnight. We camped at Goodland KOA in a Motorhome.

Table Rock Lake State Park, Branson, Missouri

Date of Stay: July, 2013 - $26.00
Overall Rating:

This is a very nice, clean park. We stayed in campground 2 for full hook ups. Nice wide concrete pads with table, fire ring, lantern holder. Lake is a short walk, as well as a short walk to the marina. Nice bike path that follows lakeshore. A well cared for state park campground. We camped at Table Rock Lake State Park in a Motorhome.

Lake Ouachita State Park, Mountain Pine, Arkansas

Date of Stay: March, 2013 - $18.00
Overall Rating:

This is a very nice park. We started in the C loop right on the water which had spectacular views and direct water access. It did not have sewer but the views and water access are the best. We moved to the full hookup loop and it was very nice as well, although the water access was farther away but still usable. There seemed to be more families in the full hookup loop as it has a flatter grade and kids can ride bikes easily there. This park is very clean and sites were level. We will be coming back, they have set the bar high for us going forward. We camped at Lake Ouachita State Park in a Motorhome.

Long Creek, Ridgedale, Missouri

Date of Stay: July, 2012 - $21.00
Overall Rating:

This is a standard campground with plenty of trees and you can walk to the lake quickly. The sites are not very level. We stayed in site 24 which had a very steep entry that required a lot of maneuvering to not bottom out. The RV loop was not easy to get around in for any site. The sites are not close so that is nice. No full hookups available but you had elec/water in the rv loop. Overall the price was low for the holiday week but it was no frills and was busy. We camped at Long Creek in a Motorhome.

Talley Bend, Lowery City, Missouri

Date of Stay: May, 2012 - $18.00
Overall Rating:

COE park, Vault restrooms, Shower house, and electric only sites. Plenty of shade available throughout the campground. Park Attendants super helpful and pleasant. Playgrounds are dated with metal equipment and slides so no play in hot sun. No beach access or open areas so entertainment is limited for children. This park is probably best suited to use as a base camp while using a boat on the lake. We camped at Talley Bend in a Motorhome.
