Dakota Ridge RV Park, Golden, Colorado

Date of Stay: May, 2012 - $47.00
Overall Rating:

Very nice park with plenty of room for our unit and truck. There are many nice amenities. Although the park is in-town, the noise level is minimal. Our site was level but there was not a pad by our camper door. It was just a little gravel and grass. It was raining so we had to puddle jump. There is only one bathroom facility (very very clean) so it could be quite a hike for campers in further away sites. We stayed one night as we were just passing through. I feel the rate was a little high but considering the area it probably is reasonable. I would stay here again. We camped at Dakota Ridge RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Spanish Trail RV Park & Campground, Moab, Utah

Date of Stay: May, 2012 - $43.00
Overall Rating:

This is a very nice park on the south side of Moab. There is plenty of room on each site and they are fairly level. The bathroom/showers were very clean. Although the highway was close, at night we did not hear any road noise. We stayed three nights and would camp here again. We camped at Spanish Trail RV Park & Campground in a Fifth Wheel.

Sundance RV Park, Cortez, Colorado

Date of Stay: May, 2012 - $36.00
Overall Rating:

For an in-town park, this one was excellent. The noise level at night was minimal. The sites were level and wide enough for our 3 slides. The bathrooms were clean. We were able to walk to a grocery store and eating establishments. The on-site managers were friendly and helpful. We stayed 2 nights and would stop here again. We camped at Sundance RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Kearney RV Park and Campground, Kearney, Nebraska

Date of Stay: May, 2012 - $33.00
Overall Rating:

For a "new" RV Park this one needs a lot of work, this is camping in a corn field. Sites are gravel and rocks, hard to drive on or level unit on. Bathroom floor was a pebbly surface that I don't how they can keep clean, shower floor is concrete. The only 2 positives about this place are: the on-site managers were friendly and the pull through sites are long and wide for an RV park. We camped at Kearney RV Park and Campground in a Fifth Wheel.

Colony Country Campground (Closed), North Liberty, Iowa

Date of Stay: May, 2012 - $32.00
Overall Rating:

This is a wonderful little RV park. We stayed one night here in our fifth wheel. Management was very friendly and helpful. Our site was level on a gravel pad with an easy approach. The bathroom/showers were immaculate. We prefer being able to put down an outside mat by our door to prevent dirt getting into our unit, but this was not allowed to protect the grass. This was the only negative about the park and I must say the grass was thick and well maintained and looked lovely. The rate reflects Good Sam Discount. We would stay here again. We camped at Colony Country Campground (Closed) in a Fifth Wheel.

Verde Valley RV & Camping Resort (Thousand Trails), Cottonwood, Arizona

Date of Stay: April, 2012 - $35.00
Overall Rating:

We had to search for an open site along narrow twisting roads, most sites were narrow, double - back to back, and not level. If the campers on the other half of the site used the wrong utilities you could be in trouble hooking up. Many sites were not available due to disrupted electric supplies. The sprinklers came on in the middle of the night and plastered our unit with hard water, the stains will need polishing to remove. Pool and club house were very nice. Bathrooms were clean. I would not camp here again. We camped at Verde Valley RV & Camping Resort (Thousand Trails) in a Fifth Wheel.
