Spearfish KOA, Spearfish, South Dakota

Date of Stay: June, 2017 - $55.00
Overall Rating:

This is one of the nicest parks we've stayed in anywhere. The grounds are well kept and the park is really pretty. The managers are a nice couple who work hard to make this a nice place. We used the laundry which was spotless. The laundry, showers and restrooms are in a new building. Our site was spacious and easily fit our 42' Fifth Wheel and truck. The sites have picnic tables and fire ring. We would definitely stay here again. We camped at Spearfish KOA in a Fifth Wheel.

Red Trail Campground, Medora, North Dakota

Date of Stay: June, 2017 - $38.00
Overall Rating:

This park is convenient to the Medora attractions. There are pull through but with a premium price. The owner helped me back-in with no issues. My neighbor on one side was very close. My sewer hose was right next to his picnic table. The site we were on was recycled, crushed asphalt recently spread. Roads are a mixture od asphalt, concrete and gravel. There is a $3.00 charge per night for cable tv. The park provides a shuttle ($5.00 per person) to the Medora Musical. The park was pretty full, but quiet most of the time. This is a family operation. If we were in the area again I would stay here. Full hook-up parks are limited. We camped at Red Trail Campground in a Fifth Wheel.

Bismarck KOA, Bismarck, North Dakota

Date of Stay: May, 2017 - $43.00
Overall Rating:

We usually try to get pull-throughs however none were available for our stay. The owners son helped me back in with no issues at all. There were too many trees so unable to get my satellite to lock on. The site was level and we we in a quiet area. WIFI was okay. Good Verizon coverage. The park is well kept, we would stay here again. We camped at Bismarck KOA in a Fifth Wheel.

Double Nickel Campground, Waco, Nebraska

Date of Stay: May, 2017 - $35.00
Overall Rating:

Nice family run park. We had a large site with plenty of space on the door side. The hard-packed gravel site area was a little narrow, but my 42 ft. fifth wheel fit fine. We used both the showers and bathroom, both were very clean. This looks like a nice family oriented campground with a large playground and big pool. There are arcade games in the office and putt putt golf is included in the fee. We had good electric with 121 volts on each leg of the 50 amp outlet. While close to I-80, road noise was not an issue. Wi-Fi was just upgraded and is one of the best speeds we've had it a campground. Water pressure was also adequate. Lots of open area to set up a satellite. Our site did not have a sewer connection, but there is a dump site. We would definitely stay here again. There is no cable TV. Would have rated a 10 if sewer and cable were available. We camped at Double Nickel Campground in a Fifth Wheel.

Canyon Trail RV Resort, San Marcos, Texas

Date of Stay: September, 2016 - $40.00
Overall Rating:

We stayed here about a year and a half ago. Since then it's become a self-service park. We paid $40.00 for a gravel pull through. Unfortunately the site was not level, ended up with wheels off the ground on one side. Supposed to be free wifi. Still looking for it. Cable was adequate. I believe this place is over priced and will not be back. We camped at Canyon Trail RV Resort in a Fifth Wheel.

Texan RV Ranch, Mansfield, Texas

Date of Stay: June, 2016 - $42.00
Overall Rating:

We've stayed here before, but won't next time. The gravel roads are in need of repair, grass needs mowing. Lots of construction going on but apparently no maintenance. There are new owners and the price has gone up. Too high a price for a gravel parking lot. We camped at Texan RV Ranch in a Fifth Wheel.

Camp Lakewood Campground & RV Park, Effingham, Illinois

Date of Stay: May, 2016 - $35.00
Overall Rating:

We stopped here for an overnight stay. A very friendly, and efficient lady checked us in and we were promptly escorted to our site. We have a big rig and I had no trouble maneuvering thru the roads. The sites are gravel and close together. Ours was a little unlevel in that the leveling system finished with a rear tire off the ground. Good cable TV, satellite may be an issue due to shade trees. The park was quiet and seemed to be well kept. We would stay there again. We camped at Camp Lakewood Campground & RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Cave Country RV Campground, Cave City, Kentucky

Date of Stay: May, 2016 - $38.00
Overall Rating:

Very nice park with well kept grounds. A very nice workcamper checked us in and escorted us to our site. This park is 5 miles from Mammoth Cave National Park. It was easy maneuvering the park roads to our level gravel site. Close to restaurants and fuel. We stayed two nights and would stay again. The only reason I did not rate higher was because of the proximity to railroad tracks and the noise created by the several trains passing through. We camped at Cave Country RV Campground in a Fifth Wheel.

Delta Ridge RV Park, Inc., Forrest City, Arkansas

Date of Stay: May, 2016 - $30.00
Overall Rating:

This an overnight stop right next to I40. Being next to I40 was loud, but eventually the noise fades into the background. The city street to the entry to the park has large potholes. Not the parks fault, just be aware. The manager was a nice guy and is upgrading the facilities. The site was level gravel. No frills but would stay again. The rate was for a 50 amp site. Food, fuel and groceries very close. Good Verizon cell service. We camped at Delta Ridge RV Park, Inc. in a Fifth Wheel.

Texan RV Ranch, Mansfield, Texas

Date of Stay: August, 2015 - $15.00
Overall Rating:

The nightly rate reflects a full months stay. First the positive. The park is quiet. Even when full there was very little noise. The laundry was clean. In fact there is a new laundry in the area we stayed and it sparkled. The price to wash and dry was reasonable. Now the not so positive. Sites are close and we were door to door to our neighbor. Did not like the door to door aspect. Our neighbors were very nice, but no privacy. Could not get our satellite dish to lock on. We have a portable, because of a tree and proximity of neighbor could not get a signal. Finally placed on top of the rig. This problem is site specific, as other sites had a clear view. The sites and roads are gravel and they are hard packed. This is not our first choice park in the Arlington area, but works in a pinch. We camped at Texan RV Ranch in a Fifth Wheel.

Twin Fountains RV Park, Oklahoma City, Oklahoma

Date of Stay: August, 2015 - $40.00
Overall Rating:

We've stayed here many times in the past. This time we have a site at the front of the park and it borders Bryant St. The road noise is really loud, add the noise from the interstate and it really is annoying. The pad is concrete, but it is not level. My leveling jacks lifted one tire off the ground. The sites here are oddly shaped with some with steep entrances and exits. This is not my favorite place, unfortunately it is the best park in the OKC area. Reluctantly, I would stay here again. We camped at Twin Fountains RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

This is a convenient stop just off I-70. Staff was efficient including an escort to our site. Road noise due to proximity to highway. Sites are gravel, but there are concrete pads available for an additional charge. We would stay here again. We camped at Salina KOA in a Fifth Wheel.

The rate reflects a discount for paying cash. The sites are adequate, but close together. Close to the Interstate for easy access and a little road noise. Check-in was quick and easy. This is a convenient overnight stop. We would stay here again. We camped at Holiday RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Fredericksburg, Texas KOA, Fredericksburg, Texas

Date of Stay: August, 2014 - $40.00
Overall Rating:

We spent five nights in this nice, quiet park on the outskirts of Fredericksburg. Our rate reflects a 10 percent discount provided by the KOA card. We were pleasantly surprised how quiet the park is considering the proximity to Hwy 290. We were at the back of the park and I'm sure that helped. Wi-Fi is free and worked well. The park is well kept. We have a 42 ft. rig and had no problem traveling to or from our site. We enjoyed our stay and will return again. We camped at Fredericksburg, Texas KOA in a Fifth Wheel.

Junction/North Llano River RV Park, Junction, Texas

Date of Stay: August, 2013 - $35.00
Overall Rating:

Managers were great. Escorted to our site. This park is very convenient to I-10. We had a large pull through that accommodated our truck, 38' fifth wheel and car. The site had large trees providing shade in the Texas summer. Nice pool. We will stay here again when in the area. We camped at Junction/North Llano River RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.
