Travelers World RV Resort, San Antonio, Texas

Date of Stay: October, 2015 - $21.00
Overall Rating:

Front desk friendly and helpful. You can get one day on Passport America. Regular rate is 42.00 plus tax. Quiet park. Great location to get to missions and downtown. Generous size sites. Sites gravel but roads asphalt. Some park models set up to rent. We did not use the pool or hot tub but they looked nice. Really nice looking playground area. Rec room with tables and pool table. We camped at Travelers World RV Resort in a Motorhome.

Phoenix Metro RV Park (55+ park), Phoenix, Arizona

Date of Stay: September, 2015 - $18.00
Overall Rating:

Generous size sites. Most of sites are seasonal people. Pretty empty now as it before the season. Day time temps in the 90-100 range, which is warm. WiFi works the best of anywhere we have been, which is great. Nice office staff. Enjoyed the pool and hot tub. We would return if in the are again. We camped at Phoenix Metro RV Park (55+ park) in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

In town to see long lost cousins. This park is easy to get in and out of, near the highway but we do not hear much highway noise (there is a large wall). We enjoyed the pool and hot tub. Most of sites are seasonal people. It is empty now because it is still 90-100 every day. 3 days of Passport America rate makes it wonderful. Quiet and safe.

Krazy K RV Park, Camp Verde, Arizona

Date of Stay: September, 2015 - $18.00
Overall Rating:

Small 55+ park. Friendly folks. Our site was a little short for our rig, maybe because we were on the end and they had to leave room for the street. Pool and hot tub. No cable. Wifi was iffy but could do email. Great price for the area. Quiet park. We camped at Krazy K RV Park in a Motorhome.

Grand Canyon Railway RV Park, Williams, Arizona

Date of Stay: September, 2015 - $22.00
Overall Rating:

The park was so clean and nice we thought it was brand new, it is actually 8 years old. Getting it for the PA rate made it amazing. You can walk to town, places to eat, Safeway and the train station. You have access to a heated pool and exercise room at the motel. Wifi was OK. Easy to get off and on the highway. We drove to the South Rim. Only negative was the train track was right there but with the A/C running it was not a problem. We do not have a pet, but they have a pet sitting service. We would definitely stay here again. We camped at Grand Canyon Railway RV Park in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

The entrance to the office is a little strange. You go past the parking lot and down the side street so you are well positioned to go across the street to the sites. The office has a small store.

Weekly rate was $79 + tax and electric. Daily was 18.00 plus tax. Laundry was CHEAP and clean. We felt safe. It was not classy or exciting but was convenient for what we wanted to do. We camped at King's Row in a Motorhome.

Thousand Lakes RV Park, Torrey, Utah

Date of Stay: August, 2015 - $28.00
Overall Rating:

Great amenities for families. Friendly staff. Well maintained. WiFi was weak when park was full, when it was empty it was better but still not good. Everything else was great. RV service next door which we had to use and were thankful it was there. They have nightly food service which we did not use but looked well attended. Out of town. Beautiful views. Amazing sunsets over the Mesa. We would go back if in the area. We camped at Thousand Lakes RV Park in a Motorhome.

Gift shop on site had the best prices in town. They had a few essential groceries and ice. Loa, 16 miles away, had a Food Town and Lowes type hardware store with reasonable prices. Groceries in Torrey were HIGH.

Cadillac Ranch RV Park, Bluff, Utah

Date of Stay: July, 2015 - $27.00
Overall Rating:

Nice view of the Bluffs. Lady who checked us in knew the area. Basically flat. All pull thrus. Creek along one side which means there are bugs. The Bluff Fort was free and very entertaining. Be sure to watch the video they did a great job. Middle of no where but centered among some of the bigger parks in the area so we could day trip in the Jeep. Save money on the site by staying out of the way. Not plans to come back to Bluff but we would stay here again if we did. We camped at Cadillac Ranch RV Park in a Motorhome.

La Mesa RV Park, Cortez, Colorado

Date of Stay: July, 2015 - $35.00
Overall Rating:

Internet WORKED and was fast ! The lady at the front was wonderful ! She should work for the local visitor center, she gave us great information about local and national attractions. We will stay here again when we visit Cortez. They take Passport America and Good Sams. She let us do one day on Passport America and the other two on Good Sams. They had pull through and back in sites. All are basically level. Great access to Cortez, La Mesa is right in town. Ask the lady at the desk for tips including what is going on in town. The Cortez Cultural Center had an enjoyable free event with natives in costume dancing, playing the wooden flute and story telling. We camped at La Mesa RV Park in a Motorhome.

Don't miss the Notah Dineh Trading Company and Museum. We will go back because we need more time to see Mesa Verde. We only allowed one day and need at least one more. We would also like to see the Ute Nation. The Anasazi Cultural Center is worth your time.

We had a great view of the mountains and the train but most sites did not. I could never get the WiFi to work. Bob was supper nice and wanted us to enjoy Durango and our stay. Good water pressure. Site was gravel with a grassy area for the picnic table. We camped at Westerly RV Park in a Motorhome.

Trailer Ranch RV Park (55+ Park), Santa Fe, New Mexico

Date of Stay: July, 2015 - $38.00
Overall Rating:

Friendly staff. Well maintained landscape and park. Back of park is well kept and maintained mobile homes. Good hookups. Shaded sites. We were on a level concrete pad. There are some gravel sites which they seem to use for overnight people. Two of the gravel sites are pull-through. We are backed in. Pool looks nice, we have not used it.

Make reservations; they do fill up. It is a 55+ park, so quiet. Pets are allowed. Wi-Fi works well but no streaming, two access codes per site. Good Verizon signal.

GREAT location for getting to shopping and the rest of Santa Fe. We will stay here again when in the area. We camped at Trailer Ranch RV Park (55+ Park) in a Motorhome.

They took an old motel and made the parking lot into an RV Park. You would just use it for over night. It is clean. We walked down the street out front which is the old Rte 66. Not far off the highway. VERY level sites. Wifi works GREAT !!! We camped at Cactus RV Park in a Motorhome.

Catfish Round-Up RV Park, Seminole, Oklahoma

Date of Stay: July, 2015 - $20.00
Overall Rating:

Roads in camping area were tight for our 40' Class A towing. Pads were concrete but narrow. It had rained a LOT and it was muddy so we did not really get out of the RV. Wi-Fi did not work for us. OK for an overnight. Close to 40. We are vegan; the restaurant had nothing we could eat, but we did not expect it to have anything. Walmart is 8 miles away.

You pick a site and then tell the lady in the Cafe which site you have. If it is empty it is up for grabs. All the sites are pull-through but we had to disconnect to get through the tight turns.

Price includes tax and there are no discounts. We camped at Catfish Round-Up RV Park in a Motorhome.

Downtown Riverside RV Park, North Little Rock, Arkansas

Date of Stay: July, 2015 - $12.00
Overall Rating:

Park is OK. It was a spur of the moment cheap place to stay. Park was a great value for the discounted price. We will go back to explore the area further and will stay at this park.

To get the cheapest rate we took a back-in site. The hookups were not placed well for a motorhome in the back-in sites. The pull-through spots had a better location for the hookups. Wi-Fi was not good. We camped at Downtown Riverside RV Park in a Motorhome.

There are bike and pedestrian trails. The bridge over to the Clinton Museum is great. Loved the easy access to the Farmers Market by riding our bikes. Did not get to see the Library, submarine or other area attractions because we arrived too late and had to leave early.

Tana-See Campground (formerly TMC Campground), Newport, Tennessee

Date of Stay: July, 2015 - $35.00
Overall Rating:

Under new ownership. New name Tana-See. New owners are fixing up and taking pride in the park. Targeting families. Restrooms older but freshly painted and clean. Office staff beyond friendly and very accommodating. Sites are gravel with hookups. 5 sites are pull-through. Other sites are back in...not sure how many they have. Pool has new liner and is clean. Homemade mini golf. Play area and games. "Train ride" with engine being a lawn mower. Picnic shelter with stage. Pond for fishing. New electric, water, and sewer at the sites. New picnic tables at each site. We are here on July 4th. They had a free hamburger, hot dog and chip cookout with all the trimmings and you could take sides. Games for the kids. Fireworks. New owner is great. This is just off 40 so easy access and great for our overnight. They have cable TV with 24 channels and the Wi-Fi is great!

We would come here again. We camped at Tana-See Campground (formerly TMC Campground) in a Motorhome.

Spring Hill Mobile Home Park, Chapel Hill, North Carolina

Date of Stay: June, 2015 - $35.00
Overall Rating:

The primary purpose of this park is to serve as a place for those to stay who are undergoing treatment at UNC or Duke Hospitals. Secondly for contractors working in the area. There are also temporary spots available. We were here from Sept 2014 to June 2015 working a contract job. The park management are super people. The park is well kept and clean. On site trash pick up twice a week. Sewer, water, cable and electric at each site. Wi-Fi is available but not the best. If we are ever in the area and need a place we would good back.
