On-Ur-Wa RV Park, Onawa, Iowa

Date of Stay: July, 2015 - $30.00
Overall Rating:

We stayed one night on our way through town. Probably one of the largest sites we have ever been in. Very long and wide. The dog park was great, the staff was friendly, and price was right. If this town had more to do (it's pretty small), we would definitely stay here again for an extended stay. We camped at On-Ur-Wa RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Medora Campground, Medora, North Dakota

Date of Stay: July, 2015 - $40.00
Overall Rating:

This is a very large campground in a very small town. The road and sites are gravel/dirt, and the sites are really small. The restrooms were old, but well kept. The wifi was good, there are no TV channels, and I thought the price was a little high for what you get. There isn't a pool, but there is a playground for kids. This park is close to Teddy Roosevelt National Park, and there are some good restaurants close by. We would probably not do an extended stay here again, but it's good for a night or two. We camped at Medora Campground in a Fifth Wheel.

Cottonwood Inn & Suites, Glasgow, Montana

Date of Stay: July, 2015 - $42.00
Overall Rating:

We only stayed here one night passing through, but this was definitely a great campground. Very quiet, with spacious sites! We were on the end, but as we drove through most sites were fairly large. There are several restaurants in the area as well. We did not use the pool, restrooms, or laundry facilities. We camped at Cottonwood Inn & Suites in a Fifth Wheel.

Snake River RV Park & Campground, Idaho Falls, Idaho

Date of Stay: July, 2015 - $48.00
Overall Rating:

We stayed over the holiday weekend so we only received the Good Sam discount for the Sunday night. This is a former KOA Campground. The sites were small, and the road was fairly narrow. The pool was very crowded and we were right next to the pool. Not the best spot as kids felt they needed to walk through our site to get to the pool! The dog park was decent in size, and the staff were very friendly and helpful. Although the owner did tell me they had "packed in like sardines" for the holiday weekend. We camped at Snake River RV Park & Campground in a Fifth Wheel.

There is a minor league baseball team that plays close by. This was fun to do.

Portal RV Resort and Campground, Moab, Utah

Date of Stay: July, 2015 - $55.00
Overall Rating:

This park is divided into two sections. The side with large, paved lots, nice restrooms and a pool, is the side where people actually own the sites. This is the side we stayed on. The dog park is large and very well maintained, as is the rest of the park. There is a small swimming lake on the other side, where the sites are gravel and smaller. This side also has older bathrooms/showers, but are kept cleaned. This campground is close to town, and both Arches and Canyonlands National Parks. We stayed here 5 nights and although pricey, we would definitely stay here again. We camped at Portal RV Resort and Campground in a Fifth Wheel.

Clear Creek RV Park, Golden, Colorado

Date of Stay: July, 2015 - $43.00
Overall Rating:

Although the sites were a little snug, as is the road, this campground was beautiful. It's right on the water, along with a great walking path. It is close to town, and very quiet. There isn't any grass, so for pets it's a little difficult, but use the path instead. We only stayed one night while travelling through Colorado, but we would definitely stay here again. We camped at Clear Creek RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Salina KOA, Salina, Kansas

Date of Stay: July, 2015 - $34.00
Overall Rating:

As usual, for KOA, the sites were small. The staff was friendly and the grounds were well maintained. There was a nice large area for pets, however it was not fenced in. We only stayed one night while travelling through Kansas, and would probably stay again for an overnight. We camped at Salina KOA in a Fifth Wheel.

North American RV Park & Yurt Village, Coram, Montana

Date of Stay: July, 2015 - $45.00
Overall Rating:

This park is close the Glacier National Park, which was our reason for our stay. We did receive the 7th night free as a discount. We had an end site, which was really large; the other sites were decently sized. The roads were a little narrow, and the dog park was really small. The bathrooms and laundry area were clean, and the staff was friendly. We would probably stay here again. We camped at North American RV Park & Yurt Village in a Fifth Wheel.

Baileys Grove Campground, Baileys Harbor, Wisconsin

Date of Stay: August, 2012 - $35.00
Overall Rating:

This is a very nice campground. Large, level sites with the right number of trees. The owners lead you to your site and make sure you are comfortable before leaving; the give trash bags and recycling bags and pick them up each morning. Although the bathrooms are older, they are clean and comfortable. Bailey's Harbor is a small town and there isn't much to do, but it's very close to the other towns in the area and I would definitely stay here again. We camped at Baileys Grove Campground in a Fifth Wheel.

Big Creek RV Park, Annapolis, Missouri

Date of Stay: August, 2012 - $31.00
Overall Rating:

This was our second visit and we will continue to go back. The hosts are great and super friendly. The new sites are large and level, but unfortunately there aren't any trees. Luckily the weather was really nice and shade wasn't needed. Although they don't have a real "dog run," they have a 19 acre field (fenced in) that they allow dogs to run off leash, which is 100 times better than a small dog run. The pool was cool, clean, and all to ourselves, and the showers and restrooms are clean as well. They are new Good Sam's members too. We camped at Big Creek RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Riverview RV Park, Lake Ozark, Missouri

Date of Stay: July, 2012 - $25.00
Overall Rating:

I wanted to rate this park higher, but the location of Highway 54 kept it at a 7. The noise is continuous and since expanding the highway, it's probably only gotten worse. The restrooms and showers are really old and need to be updated, however are close to the pool. I was expecting the pool water to be warm, however it was awesome. Apparently they pump water in from the underground spring. It was so refreshing. On the other hand, the deck around the pool needs some attention. Some boards are loose, while others and falling about. The sites are a decent size, Wi-Fi comes and goes, cable is available, and the boat dock/ramp is available. The swim pond had dried up, but we haven't had any rain in many weeks, so I can't really blame them. We may adventure a stay somewhere in the area before returning to Riverview. We camped at Riverview RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Timber Trails Campground, Mulberry Grove, Illinois

Date of Stay: June, 2012 - $20.00
Overall Rating:

We checked in on a Friday afternoon and stayed until Monday. It wasn't peaceful until Sunday evening when all of the "residents" went to their other home. Children did not ride bicycles, they drove golf carts. I must have seen at least 40 go by (many of them multiple times) throughout the day on Saturday; nobody walked anywhere. It is a very large park, however there are only a few nightly rentals spots, all the others are seasonal. The site was level and large, but we didn't get Wi-Fi. We would probably stay here again (during the week). We camped at Timber Trails Campground in a Fifth Wheel.

EZ Daze RV Park, Southaven, Mississippi

Date of Stay: May, 2012 - $32.00
Overall Rating:

We arrived after office hours and found an after hours number to call. The very nice lady told us just to find a spot and get settled and we would check in the next morning. Great dog run, which was kept clean. Easy access to the highway, without the highway noise. Large level concrete site was fantastic! Showers and restrooms were very clean. I am bummed because we were only there for about 10 hours; just to sleep. The reason I didn't give this a 10, is because I wasn't there long enough to check out the pool. I wanted to stay another night but we were on a schedule. Will definitely stay here again!! We camped at EZ Daze RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Memphis South Campground & RV Park, Coldwater, Mississippi

Date of Stay: May, 2012 - $25.00
Overall Rating:

This park is literally right off the highway. Our RV shook many times when 18 wheelers rode by. There were many run down RVs living at this park, which was fine for an overnight stay. The restrooms and showers appeared clean, but we did not visit the pool. The site was level and a good size, but we would probably drive a little further to stay somewhere nicer in the future. We camped at Memphis South Campground & RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Johnny's Lakeside RV Resort , Foley, Alabama

Date of Stay: May, 2012 - $25.00
Overall Rating:

This is a really nice RV park with many friendly people. We stayed here a week and thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. The restrooms, showers, and laundry facilities we very clean, however the pool was a little dirty. They have a nice lazy river which was enjoyed by many, but didn't feel crowded. The staff was friendly and showed us to our spot, which was level and a decent size. We had a site right in front of the lake, which was delightful to look at. We would definitely stay here again. We camped at Johnny's Lakeside RV Resort in a Fifth Wheel.
