I-35 RV Park, Elm Mott, Texas

Date of Stay: August, 2018 - $39.00
Overall Rating:

This park is great! The owners and their staff are very friendly people. They really take pride in this park. We felt very safe staying here. They have cameras throughout this location and have night time patrolling. There is a free breakfast from 7-9 for overnighters. The food is cooked to order. The only drawback is the traffic noise, but we just ran our A/C all night, and it drowned out the majority of the noise. We will definitely be back. We camped at I-35 RV Park in a Truck Camper.

Wellington KOA, Wellington, Kansas

Date of Stay: August, 2018 - $40.00
Overall Rating:

This KOA is a few miles off the Kansas Turnpike. It's designated as a Holiday, but not sure how it's rated as such. We saw some very nice sites for motor homes, but all the others were as expected. They also had several cabins. There is a Walmart about a half a mile away. There is an awful lot of noise which we couldn't quite figure out where it was coming from--construction/grain plant. We camped at Wellington KOA in a Truck Camper.

Goodland KOA, Goodland, Kansas

Date of Stay: August, 2018 - $39.00
Overall Rating:

This is an older, quiet park that looks like the owners are working on updating. The gentleman that checked us in was very nice. The sites are spaced enough so that you're not on top of each other. There is a Walmart about a mile or so away. We would stay here again if we're passing through. We camped at Goodland KOA in a Truck Camper.

AB Camping & RV Park, Cheyenne, Wyoming

Date of Stay: August, 2018 - $49.00
Overall Rating:

This is going to be a sad commentary because we have been here several other times with excellent service. The first site had a water leak which was known by the maintenance man. Seeing that we were going to stay for a week, we really didn't want to deal with a mud puddle. We were then put into the second site which had an electrical issue (also known to management -- no ground). They proceeded to tell us that it was okay to plug in, but we asked that if we ended up having electrical issues would they pay for it. Of course they wouldn't, and proceeded to tell us that it would be our fault because we plugged in anyway. With some very nasty words, we were offered the local Walmart or the KOA. We explained that we drive from Texas to eat the barbecue (even the food has changed) and were then put into the third spot. Well, since the neighbor was using the 30 amp service, we had to use the 50 amp. The water connection was a joke. The spigot is enclosed in a large pvc pipe that's leaking. So we had to scoop out the water before we could connect. We really had a sour taste in our mouth, so we decided to leave early and took our losses. With all this being said, we will never come back here again, and hope others don't have the same experience we did. We camped at AB Camping & RV Park in a Truck Camper.

Pueblo South / Colorado City KOA, Pueblo, Colorado

Date of Stay: August, 2018 - $40.00
Overall Rating:

It's very easy to get to from I-25. We only stayed one night, but it appears to be a popular place. There were many families here enjoying the pool. Our site was level. The breaker box was a shared set up. Sites are a little close. We would definitely stay here again. We camped at Pueblo South / Colorado City KOA in a Truck Camper.

Park was nice with a few things for children to do. We liked it because they were open late (7 pm). We would stay again if we're in the area. We camped at Hidden Lake RV Resort in a Truck Camper.

A Country Charm RV Park LLC, Hamilton, Missouri

Date of Stay: June, 2018 - $35.00
Overall Rating:

This is a great place to stay! The owner is so personable. He directs you to your site and hangs out for a few to chat with you. For all the quilters out there, the park is a little over half a mile to Missouri Star Quilt Company. We walked to downtown twice during our stay. But I digress. Back to the campground...The restroom/laundry facility is still under construction, but from all appearances should be ready within a few months. The sites are very level; quiet place to relax; and, very little traffic noise. There aren't many sites (as seen on their website), but the sites are such that motorhomes can easily be accommodated. All sites are back-in sites, with the exception of three pull-through sites. If we're ever back in the area, we'll definitely stay here every single time. I would HIGHLY recommend this rv park to everyone! We camped at A Country Charm RV Park LLC in a Truck Camper.

Triple J RV Park, Russell, Kansas

Date of Stay: May, 2018 - $30.00
Overall Rating:

Although this park is close to I-70, it is pretty quiet. We liked the fact that we were able to obtain a spot by calling after 8 p.m.. We only used electricity since the water spigot is below ground. It's not a fancy place, but fine for an overnight stay. We camped at Triple J RV Park in a Truck Camper.

WaKeeney KOA, WaKeeney, Kansas

Date of Stay: May, 2018 - $37.00
Overall Rating:

Since this is our experience, please make sure you check your electrical hook up. We arrived and was directed to our first site. My husband always checks the electrical box prior to plugging in anything. Well, wouldn't you know, the 30 amp outlet appeared to be burnt. We went back to the office where the owner (lady) said she'd have her husband come to the site to assist us with the plug. My husband told her wasn't plugging into a burnt outlet. She changed our site, same thing with the second site. We went ahead and tried it anyway. Now mind you, we've been on the road for a few weeks and staying at other KOAs without any incident. We proceeded to use the same appliances as always, breaker trips. Turned off some appliances and the A/C, breaker trips. We fired up the generator to finish cooking. By that time, the owner (husband) came to see about the issue. In short story, it was our problem and not theirs; offered money back so we all could be happy. We left, never will go back there again. We camped at WaKeeney KOA in a Truck Camper.

Denver East / Strasburg KOA, Strasburg, Colorado

Date of Stay: May, 2018 - $48.00
Overall Rating:

We just left a KOA Holiday to come here and was disappointed. We've been to several Holidays, and this one didn't measure up. We're probably used to more of the newer/updated places. The sites were too close and a lot of highway noise. The train tracks were right by our site, and it came through twice during the evening hours. It's fine for an overnight stay, but no for any duration (at least not for us). We camped at Denver East / Strasburg KOA in a Truck Camper.

Palisades Senior RV Park (55+ park), Gunnison, Colorado

Date of Stay: May, 2012 - $36.00
Overall Rating:

The fact that it's a 55+ over park is great! The park is very quiet, and located at the end of a subdivision. The park managers are very nice. The manager/husband had to come out to see our dog when we checked in. They have a little putting area for those that like to golf/putt. Sites are level with a green area for your site. From all appearances, the park looked relatively new. The manager/wife was planting flowers in a small garden while we were there. We also liked the fact that our check-out time was 1:00 p.m.. We didn't feel like we were rushed to get out the park. We would definitely go back again if we're in the area. We camped at Palisades Senior RV Park (55+ park) in a Truck Camper.

Fishing Bridge Campground (Concessionaire Operated), Yellowstone National Park, Wyoming

Date of Stay: May, 2012 - $45.00
Overall Rating:

The office folks were very nice and explained everything very well. Although you were given a shower pass (1 per person per day), we did not use the facilities. The sites are nice. The park was within walking distance to the General Store which we went to several times. The store had a lot of Native American items upstairs that were very interesting. Although we lost electricity for a few hours, we would stay here again. We camped at Fishing Bridge Campground (Concessionaire Operated) in a Truck Camper.

Springville / Provo KOA, Springville, Utah

Date of Stay: May, 2012 - $30.00
Overall Rating:

They have packed in a lot of sites, but it's a very nice place to stay. Their laundry facility/shower/restroom area is very clean. We were very happy with the laundry in that it didn't take multiple times to dry our clothes. They had a nice dog run, and the sites were paved. We did not have any issues with leveling our truck in the site. There is a Denny's within walking distance which we ate at while we were there. We camped at Springville / Provo KOA in a Truck Camper.

Ruby's Inn RV Park and Campground, Bryce Canyon, Utah

Date of Stay: May, 2012 - $40.00
Overall Rating:

This is a huge campground. The sites were nice. The Ruby Inn General Store is within walking distance with lots of things. Across the street is another strip that has neat things, too. The fact that an ice cream shop was there was enough to lure us over to the other side of the street. We would stay there again. We camped at Ruby's Inn RV Park and Campground in a Truck Camper.
