Palisades Senior RV Park (55+ park), Gunnison, Colorado

Date of Stay: May, 2012 - $36.00
Overall Rating:

The fact that it's a 55+ over park is great! The park is very quiet, and located at the end of a subdivision. The park managers are very nice. The manager/husband had to come out to see our dog when we checked in. They have a little putting area for those that like to golf/putt. Sites are level with a green area for your site. From all appearances, the park looked relatively new. The manager/wife was planting flowers in a small garden while we were there. We also liked the fact that our check-out time was 1:00 p.m.. We didn't feel like we were rushed to get out the park. We would definitely go back again if we're in the area. We camped at Palisades Senior RV Park (55+ park) in a Truck Camper.

Fishing Bridge Campground (NPS Campground), Yellowstone National Park, Wyoming

Date of Stay: May, 2012 - $45.00
Overall Rating:

The office folks were very nice and explained everything very well. Although you were given a shower pass (1 per person per day), we did not use the facilities. The sites are nice. The park was within walking distance to the General Store which we went to several times. The store had a lot of Native American items upstairs that were very interesting. Although we lost electricity for a few hours, we would stay here again. We camped at Fishing Bridge Campground (NPS Campground) in a Truck Camper.

Springville/Provo KOA , Springville, Utah

Date of Stay: May, 2012 - $30.00
Overall Rating:

They have packed in a lot of sites, but it's a very nice place to stay. Their laundry facility/shower/restroom area is very clean. We were very happy with the laundry in that it didn't take multiple times to dry our clothes. They had a nice dog run, and the sites were paved. We did not have any issues with leveling our truck in the site. There is a Denny's within walking distance which we ate at while we were there. We camped at Springville/Provo KOA in a Truck Camper.

Ruby's Inn RV Park and Campground, Bryce Canyon, Utah

Date of Stay: May, 2012 - $40.00
Overall Rating:

This is a huge campground. The sites were nice. The Ruby Inn General Store is within walking distance with lots of things. Across the street is another strip that has neat things, too. The fact that an ice cream shop was there was enough to lure us over to the other side of the street. We would stay there again. We camped at Ruby's Inn RV Park and Campground in a Truck Camper.

Palo Duro Canyon State Park, Canyon, Texas

Date of Stay: May, 2012 - $24.00
Overall Rating:

The stay was nice, but the seasonal bugs were running amok. We had issues with our cell phone (Verizon) once we started down into the canyon, but there are pay phones that available. We didn't use any of the restroom facilities although they were very close to our site. We'll stay there again. We camped at Palo Duro Canyon State Park in a Truck Camper.

Mountain View RV Park & Campground, Sundance, Wyoming

Date of Stay: May, 2012 - $34.00
Overall Rating:

The folks that run the place are very nice. They have operating hours, but they are onsite and come to the office to check you in at anytime. We arrived late, and the owner came down to check us in. We used their laundry facility, and it was exceptionally clean. We did not use their restroom facilities. If you need anything, all you have to do is call, and they will come to assist you. The campground is very quiet, and we would stay there again. We camped at Mountain View RV Park & Campground in a Truck Camper.

This is the place to stay. They have a very friendly staff. The 7th night free is a plus, so we ended up staying here the full week. If you don't want to cook, they have a BBQ place onsite. The food is great. We will definitely stay here again. We camped at AB Camping & RV Park in a Truck Camper.

J & H RV Park (55 + Park), Flagstaff, Arizona

Date of Stay: May, 2012 - $42.00
Overall Rating:

This is a very nice park. We ended up staying here longer than we expected. The only thing that we didn't like was the red dirt. It gets all over everything. We understood quickly why they had a pet wash area. We had to give our dog a bath twice while we were there. We would definitely stay there again. We camped at J & H RV Park (55 + Park) in a Truck Camper.

Jackson Hole / Snake River KOA, Jackson, Wyoming

Date of Stay: May, 2012 - $54.00
Overall Rating:

We will never stay there again. As a matter of fact, they managed to give us a bitter taste in our mouth for KOAs. It started with the nightly rate. Just because you're on the river doesn't mean you have to price gouge. Then we move on to the site. What can we say. It is awful. You take a normal size pull-through, and you have to share with another unit. In our case, the site we were assigned already had a motorhome that took up 2/3 of the space. Again, it was awful. It was very unleveled. The motorhome beside us had their front end at least 2 feet off the ground to level it. The only good thing about this stay, we met some very nice people from Washington State. We camped at Jackson Hole / Snake River KOA in a Truck Camper.
