Cheyenne Mountain State Park, Colorado Springs, Colorado

Date of Stay: October, 2015 - $24.00
Overall Rating:

Beautiful setting against Cheyenne Mountain. Unusual for a state park to have full hook-ups so we definitely decided to stay here. Large cemented site with a fire ring, tent pad, and a picnic table. Lots of hiking trails through the mountain. We camped at Cheyenne Mountain State Park in a Travel Trailer.

Vegas Storage & RV Campground, Las Vegas, New Mexico

Date of Stay: October, 2015 - $25.00
Overall Rating:

Fine for an overnight stop. The campground needs a lot of TLC. There were weeds everywhere, cigarette butts littered the site, beer caps, etc. They were all pull thru, full hook up sites. Located right in town and across from Walmart , so easy access to shopping. I guess for $25 I would stay again. We camped at Vegas Storage & RV Campground in a Travel Trailer.

Newport Dunes Waterfront RV Resort, Newport Beach, California

Date of Stay: April, 2012 - $45.00
Overall Rating:

A true campground Resort. Paved roads/sites; each site is divided by a wood fence. The lake was nice - still too early for activities at the lake, but it was nice to walk around. Staff was very friendly, and the park was spotless. I would return to this resort again - hopefully during the "in" season so we can catch the beach activities. We camped at Newport Dunes Waterfront RV Resort in a Tent Trailer.

Yosemite West Mariposa KOA, Midpines, California

Date of Stay: April, 2012 - $42.00
Overall Rating:

Spent a couple of nights at this gem while visiting Yosemite National Park. The sites are rather close together, but our campsite made up for it. We had a back-in spot up against the mountain and sat outside enjoying the wildlife and gorgeous weather. The KOA staff were helpful, but short (not very friendly). If I ever find myself back at Yosemite, I will definitely stay here again. We camped at Yosemite West Mariposa KOA in a Tent Trailer.

Bottomless Lakes State Park, Roswell, New Mexico

Date of Stay: March, 2012 - $14.00
Overall Rating:

The camping area itself was nice. We had a back-in water/electric corner site. The covered picnic table areas at each site are a bonus. The park hosts/managers had little to no people skills and weren't friendly at all. We were bothered the 2 nights we were there with dogs barking constantly and were told that it was a dog friendly park. We have a dog ourselves but do not allow it to bark continuously to annoy other camping guests. We will probably not be returning to this park. We camped at Bottomless Lakes State Park in a Fifth Wheel.
