Monte Sano State Park, Huntsville, Alabama

Date of Stay: June, 2011 - $24.00
Overall Rating:

Nice campground with friendly staff. Lots of shady campsites which was great for cooling, but not so good if you want to use a satellite dish. Got local channels with RV antenna. Would stay here again. We camped at Monte Sano State Park in a Travel Trailer.

Holiday Campground / West Point Lake COE, LaGrange, Georgia

Date of Stay: May, 2009 - $22.00
Overall Rating:

This campground stays very busy. Nice staff and well kept grounds. I wish they had sewer connections, but at least the dump station had two receptacles. Area is generally level and a great place to walk or ride a bike. Seemed like a lot of college kids this weekend, but campground was still peaceful the majority of the time. We will return. We camped at Holiday Campground / West Point Lake COE in a Travel Trailer.

DeSoto Resort State Park, Fort Payne, Alabama

Date of Stay: April, 2009 - $25.00
Overall Rating:

Nice park w/many new renovations. Bath houses (2) were very clean and air conditioned. Sites have been nicely improved and are roomy. All sites now include sewer and cable. Campground staff and hosts were friendly and helpful. One note though, last time we were here we had electrical problems with our hookup and found others there having similar problems all because of old worn out electrical equipment. On this trip approximately half of our camping loop lost power for about 5 hours and this is with new upgraded electrical equipment. We will definitely be back. We camped at DeSoto Resort State Park in a Travel Trailer.

Noccalula Falls Campground, Gadsden, Alabama

Date of Stay: March, 2009 - $27.00
Overall Rating:

Nice park, friendly and helpful staff. Sites are close, but reasonably comfortable. Had nice conversations with surrounding campground guests. Also, every night around sundown we could hear a tiger roar across the canyon and found out later that they have a one on display at the city park on the other side of the falls. We camped at Noccalula Falls Campground in a Travel Trailer.

Noccalula Falls Campground, Gadsden, Alabama

Date of Stay: October, 2007 - $23.00
Overall Rating:

A mostly shaded and pleasant campground. A lot of sites were close together. We a had a reservation snafu because of the campgrounds computer going down at the time we made our reservation. I would suggest confirming your reservation and getting the name of the person you talk to when you make your reservation as our neighbor had a problem too. The campground was full this time of year, but we had a very enjoyable time. I'll be coming back. We camped at Noccalula Falls Campground in a Travel Trailer.

DeSoto Resort State Park, Fort Payne, Alabama

Date of Stay: July, 2007 - $19.00
Overall Rating:

The campground was nice and quiet and had large sites. We had an electrical problem with the campground's hookup. They staff worked diligently to get the problem resolved and finally did. This isn't the first time we have had electrical maintenance issues at an Alabama State Park. The staff said that this park is in the planning stage for renovations and electrical upgrades. Overall a nice campground with plenty to do. We'll be back! We camped at DeSoto Resort State Park in a Travel Trailer.
