Hidden Valley Ranch, Deming, New Mexico

Date of Stay: January, 2014 - $20.00
Overall Rating:

Nice park in the desert away from town. The ride in on the dirt road is fine, worth the trip. Sites were spacious, bathrooms clean and warm. Rate is for five using PA. The propane fill is competitively priced. We met some nice folks in the clubhouse; one fulltime resident gave us a private 4 x 4 ride to the old mines and a homestead in the area. Wi-Fi worked great for a small fee. Dish satellite in the clubhouse worked on two TVs. The laundry had new reasonably priced machines. Make sure you stop at the museum in town before you leave. We camped at Hidden Valley Ranch in a Fifth Wheel.

The Palms River Resort, Needles, California

Date of Stay: December, 2013 - $25.00
Overall Rating:

Stayed at the resort during the Christmas holiday. After making an online reservation for a week and paying in full I was told I owed an additional $27 for electric, this was after I stayed one night. The explanation for the charge was “this is a new policy.” The resort web site is not correct, hot tub and pool are not heated and are usable. The resort has a distinctive smell of open sewer by the homes near the pool and showers. ATVs, dirt bikes and golf carts roam at all speeds throughout the resort during all hours making it unsafe to walk. RV sites are mixed in with single wide prefab homes. If you neighbor has an ATV you will be polluted with noise day and night. Paperwork and signatures for registration is mind boggling. I guess it is needed in case you get run over by an ATV. Restroom facilities were clean and the Christmas Party organized by fellow camper was memorable with friendly guests. Sites are level and spacious. We camped at The Palms River Resort in a Fifth Wheel.

Wine Ridge RV Resort & Cottages, Pahrump, Nevada

Date of Stay: December, 2013 - $12.00
Overall Rating:

Great RV Park. The staff is friendly and most helpful. The Gentleman at the front desk could not be more friendly and helpful. This park is in the desert so grass is not to be found for walking your dog; however there are wonderful trails in the back of the park to walk your dog. Brand new park, free waffle breakfast in the morning and pickle ball courts, can’t ask for more. The tout that they are the best RV park in NV and I agree We camped at Wine Ridge RV Resort & Cottages in a Fifth Wheel.
