This county park is huge and has a lot to offer in the way of activities and the community takes advantage of this gem. The RV section is a small part of the park, but it to is popular and very attractive. Heavily wooded and spacious sites. Large and well designed dog park. Friendly staff. Close to the many sights Winston-Salem has to offer. Though the trees prevent satellite reception, the park has an extensive selection of cable channels in hi-definition! A rare bonus. We enjoyed our stay here.

What this park has going for it is its location: the Biltmore, the cool, dryer climate, a beautiful wooded environment and the sights of Asheville. I concur with the negative comments from other reviewers. Additionally, the laundry facility is woefully small (2 washers, 2 dryers) for this size park and functioning poorly: the dryers were not vented to outside the building. The wifi is adequate, but slows down during busy usage. Half the tree shading our site was dead and in need of major trimming. The traffic noise is very noticeable , but not strong enough to interfere with intimate conversations though loud enough to mask the noise of barking dogs, lawn mowers and other landscaping activities. The sites that are on the bluff have a nice view. An adequate place to stay as long as you don't require the services of an onsite laundry.

This small park is primarily for manufactured homes with a few spaces set aside for RVs. The number of sites available are made up mostly of dry camping sites in an open field. It's very basic - no showers, restrooms, laundry facilities nor cable tv. Cash only. Wifi, however, is good. Owner is friendly and gave us a "Mr. Toads" wild ride on his golf cart to pick out the site we wanted. Good location for race fans or for travelers visiting the area. Lots of shopping in the area and quite accessible from major highways.

This pleasant appearing park is in a rural setting and is adequate for brief or extended stays. Close to shopping - including a Camping World. Showers/restrooms are modern, wifi is not. Picnic tables are on a raised cement platform - a tripping hazard. Staff is friendly and helpful. Columbia has much to offer. We enjoyed our stay here.

This large rural park is attractive and a pleasant place to stay for a brief time or an extended stay. However, too many speed bumps and traffic on 17 is very heavy making left turns in or out of the park difficult. For a park this size, laundry facilities are surprisingly minimal: 4 washers (one not functioning) and 2 dryers! Wifi is adequate during times of light use. Park has recycle containers! A rarity. Garbage containers are numerous and convenient. Close to Charleston sights. Shopping is close. We enjoyed our stay here.

Not much to add to previous reviews. Nice place to overnight or to spend time visiting the many sights historic or otherwise here. Staff is friendly and helpful. The "open" parking areas are good for satellite reception. The Old Town Trolley Tour of Savannah is a great way to see historic Savannah, plus they pick you up at the park. Wifi is weak and mostly useless during typical use hours. We enjoyed our stay here and will again when in the area.

This aging state park is in a beautiful setting and has a lot to offer for adult and family entertainment. However, the cheaper sites for rvs have bad roads and unlevel sites. The upscale sites are in better shape, have more amenities and open sky for satellite reception. The older restrooms/showers are not well attended. Laundry facilities are worn and ill kept. Wifi is free but so slow it is unusable unless you use it when everyone is sleeping. This is a good place to stay while visiting the many attractions Atlanta has to offer. The Commons Restaurant managed by Marriott is in a beautiful setting and has excellent food. We enjoyed our stay here under the trees.

This park is primarily for permanent residents in mobile homes or rvs. Access to our site was difficult because it slopped off the road and required backing over a drainage trough. The site had a level concrete pad designed to be used as a patio, but we had to use it to park on as the adjacent area for the motorhome was severely rutted gravel. It would have been difficult to impossible to level there. Nonetheless it was a pleasant rural area to be in. Staff is friendly and helpful. No wifi yet through out the park. Owners have purchased the equipment and are waiting for the installers to set it up. An adequate place for a brief stay to visit the historic sights Birmingham has to offer.

Even though location is a big selling point for this park, it is also a pleasant place to just spend some time. Staff is friendly and helpful. Basic needs are met. Paved roads and gravel sites. Wifi is adequate until it gets busy. Much to see in this historic city. We enjoyed our return visit here.

This older small KOA is adequate to use as a stopping off point or as a temporary residence while touring the many sights to see in this area. Set in a wooded hillside makes for a pleasant environment. Staff is friendly and helpful. Park roads are paved. Some sites are gravel, some are cement. Wifi is weak/slow. We enjoyed our stay here.

This beautiful park in the Piney woods of northeast Texas is a pleasant place to stay briefly or long term. Staff is friendly and provides great service. Paved roads and sites are a plus. Long and level sites are a pleasure to use. Nicely landscaped and decent "breathing" room between sites. Wifi is adequate when not busy. We enjoyed our stay here.

An attractive urban park catering to long term (aka working) adults. Premium prices for short term travelers like us. But it was close to friends we were visiting. It is also close to Houston and NASA with many local shopping and restaurant choices. The Jarboe Bayou provides a pleasant environment to a well maintained park. Staff is friendly and very helpful. The wifi isn't strong enough to provide service to all who want to use it. Showers and restrooms were very nice. Paved roads and sites are a plus. We enjoyed our stay here.

Green Lake RV Resort

San Antonio, Texas

This fairly new gated park is geared toward long term/permanent residents, many of whom are young working adults. However lots of sites to accommodate short term visitors like us. Friendly and helpful staff. Many of the sites encircle a large fountain airated pond which is stocked with catch and release fish. The park is attractively landscaped with lots of grass and mostly young trees and shrubs. No playground for children. Dog park is an area outside the park. Clubhouse with a large laundry. Heated pool. Concrete pads, paved roads, full hookups. Wifi is adequate. Very attractive and pleasant environment. Close to the many sights the San Antonio area has to offer.

Date of Stay:

This gated park was a pleasant home while we visited the area for the bluebonnet season. Staff is friendly and helpful. The sites are spacious and mostly level. The dog park was large and roped off but lacked a dry path getting to it. Dog rules are very strict. The hill country has much to offer and Fredericksburg is a charming community. We enjoyed our stay here.

We enjoyed our stay at this "oasis" in mid-west Texas. It caters to overnight travelers mostly, but is promoting itself as a destination for events and attractions in the area. Friendly staff, adequate wifi, and level site made for a pleasant stay.
