Mad River Rapids RV Park, Arcata, California

Date of Stay: June, 2012 - $45.00
Overall Rating:

Great level sites with generous and well-tended grass area. Pet area quite small, not fenced and does not allow for exercise. That said park is very friendly to dogs whose owners pick up. Extremely quiet in the evening. Toni's restaurant (walking distance) is fabulous for breakfast. We camped at Mad River Rapids RV Park in a Motorhome.

Santa Cruz Monterey Bay KOA, Watsonville, California

Date of Stay: June, 2012 - $85.00
Overall Rating:

Seriously pricey without kids who use their considerable facilies. Good layout with level spaces. Well managed and friendly staff. Fenced/grassy dog run area, but quite small and not for exercise. Many kids and attendant noise. We camped at Santa Cruz Monterey Bay KOA in a Motorhome.

Blackstone North RV Park, Fresno, California

Date of Stay: June, 2012 - $30.00
Overall Rating:

Exactly as reviewed...in the heart of town. Be careful on approach. Also very hot and limited 50amp availability because of permanent residents. Quite close and sometimes loud. Chubby's across the street (careful crossing) is good and a haven of air conditioning. We camped at Blackstone North RV Park in a Motorhome.

Bodega Bay RV Park, Bodega Bay, California

Date of Stay: June, 2012 - $41.00
Overall Rating:

Pet friendly is generous. While there is grass at sites, pet area was a little path into the weeds way at the back of the park. Great laundry facility and the food at the attached restaurant is good...especially if you have been on the coast road all day. We camped at Bodega Bay RV Park in a Motorhome.

Riverwalk RV Park, Fortuna, California

Date of Stay: June, 2012 - $41.00
Overall Rating:

Excellent staff; very helpful. There was an area toward the back where we could run our dogs briefly. Park is very close to traffic and there is a gun range that was in use and very loud in the afternoon. Site was paved and level with good grassy areas and some shade. We camped at Riverwalk RV Park in a Motorhome.

Skyline Wilderness Park, Napa, California

Overall Rating:

Very friendly and helpful staff. Great fenced off leash area for the dogs to run. Nice and quiet, but spaces are somewhat close together. Recommend on weekends get here before 2:00 as spots are on first come, first serve basis. We camped at Skyline Wilderness Park in a Motorhome.

Le Sage Riviera RV Park, Grover Beach, California

Date of Stay: June, 2012 - $51.00
Overall Rating:

As doglovers we want to correct a previous review stating this was a good area for dogs. While you can walk them on the beach, leash laws are enforced. It is quite a bit farther than 200 yards to the beach. Train track directly outside the park which is quite loud when trains come through. Also the park has limited hours and staff is off site. That said, it's okay for a night passing through. We camped at Le Sage Riviera RV Park in a Motorhome.

Golden Shore RV Resort, Long Beach, California

Date of Stay: June, 2012 - $55.00
Overall Rating:

This is a great spot. Friendly staff and excellent matinenance of the park. There is a shoreline area just outside that is perfect for dogs. Mornings and evenings we could take them off leash and let them run. Would rate it higher but all spots are back-in and internet was occasionally spotty. We camped at Golden Shore RV Resort in a Motorhome.

This fabulous location is the best kept secret in Oregon! Off the highway no problem for peace and quiet you find. We had a front spot (1 thru 6) where all you see is Rogue River. Staff friendly and helpful. Would stay here again and again. We camped at Four Seasons RV Resort in a Motorhome.
