Haggard's RV Campground, Pueblo West, Colorado

Date of Stay: April, 2017 - $16.00
Overall Rating:

I incorrectly posted this review on another RV park in Pueblo. It was meant for this park. Stayed here two nights to visit friends in Pueblo. Good choice. Passport America rate of $16 is outstanding. Gravel roads and pull thru sites. Large off leash area for dogs. No cable TV but good OTA TV and wide open for Satellite. Friendly owners. Quiet. Did not use or look at bathroom/showers. Would stay here again. - We camped at Haggard's RV Campground in a Fifth Wheel.

Peacock Meadows Riverside RV Park, South Fork, Colorado

Date of Stay: April, 2017 - $34.00
Overall Rating:

This park opened last year. Still a work in progress. Park is well laid out with long pull-thrus and back-ins. Easy to navigate the gravel/dirt roads and sites. Excellent WiFi. No cable or OTA TV but great for satellite. Looked at the showers/bathrooms which are combined to make a private room. New and clean but only 1 each for men and women. Managers are friendly and helpful. Resident geese and deer herd. A bit to pricey for this time of year but it was the only park that was open. Would stay here again. We camped at Peacock Meadows Riverside RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Ruins Road RV Park & Campground, Aztec, New Mexico

Date of Stay: April, 2017 - $27.00
Overall Rating:

We've stayed here on three occasions. Each has been enjoyable. While the park has many permanent and extended stay residents, it is very quite. Owners are friendly and helpful. No bathrooms/showers or laundry so you must be self-contained. No cable TV but the three main networks are available OTA. Satellite reception is good. WiFi is excellent at our site, 22. We will stay here again. We camped at Ruins Road RV Park & Campground in a Fifth Wheel.

Enchanted Trails RV Park & Trading Post, Albuquerque, New Mexico

Date of Stay: April, 2017 - $17.00
Overall Rating:

Stayed here for the Passport America rate of $17.00 (add $3 for 50 amp). The park sits on top of a ridge west of the city and it was very windy the day we were there. Friendly staff. Easy access to/from interstate. Our site was a side by side pull thru and close to neighbor. No cable but OTA stations were numerous. WiFi was very slow to useless at our site. Should be called "WiTrY". We camped at Enchanted Trails RV Park & Trading Post in a Fifth Wheel.

Tombstone RV Park and Campground, Tombstone, Arizona

Date of Stay: February, 2017 - $36.00
Overall Rating:

We live in Tucson and thought we'd go to Tombstone for 3 nights to make sure our coach had no problems as we prepare for our summer adventure. Well, the place was full. Called another park but they too were full. A short time later the person I spoke to in this park called back to say they moved a few reservations around which resulted in a space for us. Bravo! We arrived and were greeted by a friendly staff member who escorted us to our site. The site was level. Although the park was full, we found it to be very quiet. We didn't use the restroom, showers or laundry but looked in them. They were very clean. In fact the entire park was neat and clean. The park is pet friendly and has a small off leash area for them. The only down side was the WiFi and CATV. The WiFi has a good signal but the internet surfing was very slow in the morning and evening. The CATV at our site was grainy (unwatchable) in the lower channels but improved in the higher channels. Didn't try OTA. We found no problem using our Direct TV system as there were no obstructions to viewing satellites. Would have rated this a 10 but for the WiFi and CATV. Overall, this a great park. Staff is accommodating and friendly. We would go to this park again. We camped at Tombstone RV Park and Campground in a Fifth Wheel.

Tips for other Campers:

The city of Tombstone is about 1 mile away. "Boot Hill" and the OK Corral are a couple attractions in the historic downtown. A must see for us seniors who grew up watching this history on TV. Several restaurants and a few "watering holes" are available to take a rest at while walking the historic streets.

7th Ranch RV Camp, Garryowen, Montana

Date of Stay: June, 2015 - $35.00
Overall Rating:

This is the second year we've stayed here. Great customer service including free ice cream upon arrival. The park is situated on a gentle elevated slope on a prairie overlooking a valley. Very peaceful. Lots of space to walk the dog. Water and electric good. Wifi was good. Sites mostly level. Dirt road for perhaps the last 3/4 mile into the park. Drive slow to keep the dust down. We will return when in the area. We camped at 7th Ranch RV Camp in a Fifth Wheel.

Pagosa Riverside Campground, Pagosa Springs, Colorado

Date of Stay: May, 2015 - $43.00
Overall Rating:

$47 with tax. Very nice campground along the San Juan River. Good Wi-Fi and cable TV. When you first drive in it looks a bit rough and trashy but when you arrive at your site it looks and feels "outdoorsy". A very nice setting. However, I feel it was too expensive for what you get at this time of year. We camped at Pagosa Riverside Campground in a Fifth Wheel.

United Campground of Durango, Durango, Colorado

Date of Stay: April, 2015 - $41.00
Overall Rating:

Rate includes tax without discount. Gravel sites with side by side hookups. Pull-throughs too short to remain hitched but room to park next to unit. Mostly level but had to kneel unit quite a bit to level from to back. Recycling not available. Wi-Fi was okay but cable was out of service the entire 4 nights we were there. Good over the air TV and satellite dish friendly. Had site along the RR track to watch the train. Would stay here again. We camped at United Campground of Durango in a Fifth Wheel.

81 Palms Senior RV Resort (55+ Park), Deming, New Mexico

Date of Stay: April, 2015 - $28.00
Overall Rating:

Rate includes tax. Cash/check only. No cards. All gravel sites. Good WiFi and ota tv. No cable. Can't walk the dogs in the park but there is a large area next to the park to walk them. We pickup goat-head stickers while on dog walks. Didn't use restrooms or showers. Road noise from I-10 drowned out by numerous trains, however we slept well at night. Would stay here again.
