Now in the second year under new ownership, this park continues to the potential to be a great place. The owners have restored the play areas, added new sites, given all the buildings a new coat of paint, have plenty of activities on weekends, and have completed the creation of a camp store. The sites are huge and will swallow up the largest unit you can bring. There's a variety of wooded and open sites, and the seasonal campers are friendly and helpful. Wi-Fi is free and accessible throughout. There are plans to add a pool and mini-golf soon. Add this campground on your short list.

We have camped here for years and it's easy to say that Mi-te-jo is the gold standard for what a family campground should be. The grounds and facilities are immaculate, there's lakefront access for swimming, boating, the sites are large and private, the owners are friendly and passionate about giving you the best camping experience possible. Our only gripes about the campground are 1. It is impossible to get a seasonal site. In fact, it might literally take a lifetime to even get on the waiting list and 2. Some of the seasonal campers think they own the campground and insist on enforcing the rules themselves, in the rudest manner possible. Despite that, this campground is worth every penny you pay and then some!
