The Barnyard RV Park, Lexington, South Carolina

Date of Stay: June, 2012 - $25.00
Overall Rating:

I was worried about staying behind a flea market on a weekend, but it turned out to be no problem. This is the only place in area that was available for a last-minute stopover, as most campsites in area are state parks with limited hours. This was a nice location. It was mostly very quiet with the exception of the resident geese at their pond. Tidy sites: level, mostly grass and sand with young trees planted throughout. Each site had plenty of room and maneuvering was easy. A functional laundry room that consisted of four washers and dryers-one being out of order. Bathrooms get a 8. Not perfect and in the evening they were clean. Morning they were sandy and not as clean. We camped at The Barnyard RV Park in a Travel Trailer.

Disney's Fort Wilderness Resort & Campground, Lake Buena Vista, Florida

Date of Stay: June, 2012 - $110.00

Excellent! Clean, spacious, and CLEAN! Lots of wild animals including otter, armadillo, and rabbits! Just tie everything down, storms with high winds can whip through quickly! We were in the 100 circle, which was a quick walk to the blue launch which takes you to Magic Kingdom. Can be challenging to park. We camped at Disney's Fort Wilderness Resort & Campground in a Travel Trailer.

Camp Gulf, Miramar Beach, Florida

Date of Stay: June, 2012 - $130.00
Overall Rating:

Overall a pretty nice site. Most staff were exceptional; for leading us in and assisting us to park (very few pull-throughs available) and giving us lifts on golf carts if they saw us walking. There are extra activities for kids like a hippo slide and ice-cream socials but at a price. Beach is very nice and pools were small, but deep. Plaground is okay. Lots of trees in upper camp and get more sparse as you get nearer to beach. The sites are smaller too. One downside to this campsite are the bathrooms. Disgusting. Three bathhouses with six showers each is simply overused at this high-capacity location. We have used them both late night and early morning but never got it in a "just cleaned" state. This location is very close to lots of amenities and shopping-outlet stores are right across the street. We camped at Camp Gulf in a Travel Trailer.

Hidden Lake RV Resort, Beaumont, Texas

Date of Stay: May, 2012 - $35.00
Overall Rating:

Very nice. Quiet, clean, and serene. Level concrete pads with grass patches. Nice staff that encouraged my small kids to take snacks and mints with them. Clean bathrooms. We just overnighted so we didn't take advantage of the catch and release pond and boats. Easy acces to I-10, but not so close that you can hear highway traffic. We camped at Hidden Lake RV Resort in a Travel Trailer.
