Conejos River Campground, Antonito, Colorado

Date of Stay: May, 2016 - $30.00
Overall Rating:

If you like a lot of beautiful scenery, critters, and solitude this is the place to be. Awesome side trips into the mountains and forests in one of the prettiest parts of Colorado. Owners are very friendly and helpful. Lots of birds within the campground.

Yes, you cannot talk on your mobile phone, but you can text. When we stayed there, the internet was adequate. Yes, you have to drive a few miles for groceries in Antonito, but they have a decent selection.

We will be back to see the Aspen turn this Fall. We camped at Conejos River Campground in a Motorhome.

Waterways Campground, Cheboygan, Michigan

Date of Stay: August, 2012 - $36.00
Overall Rating:

This campground has it all: nice, large sites; full hook-ups plus cable and Wi-Fi; recycling; friendly and efficient owner/managers and docks on a nice river. Very clean and well groomed. Definitely recommend. Only reason I gave a 9 instead of a 10 was that Wi-Fi reception was OK at best and a little spotty. We camped at Waterways Campground in a Motorhome.

One Mile, Almont, Colorado

Date of Stay: June, 2012 - $22.00
Overall Rating:

Beautiful setting, large site, good location for hiking and exploring nature. Verizon worked great, zero AT&T. 30 amp hookup is very adequate for this time of year. Sites are a little uneven, so a little patience when leveling. Would have scored higher, but major roadwork occurring directly by the campground making for bumpy roads and delays. When completed, will be awesome. We camped at One Mile in a Motorhome.

Cedar Creek RV Park, Montrose, Colorado

Date of Stay: June, 2012 - $31.00
Overall Rating:

Agree with earlier comments. Our site was good sized with shade. Wi-Fi worked very well and strong AT&T signal. Friendly and convenient. Note, however, that Google Maps route was wrong--use the directions on their web site or call. We camped at Cedar Creek RV Park in a Motorhome.

Ridgway State Park, Ridgway, Colorado

Date of Stay: June, 2012 - $26.00
Overall Rating:

Stayed in site 278 in the Pa-Co-Chu-Puk Campground with view of fishing ponds and creek. Very pretty. I'd stay in this site again, but note two things: no shade in afternoon, and site is right by path, so lot's of foot traffic. Nice to have full hook-ups, but if you don't need, several very nice large sites in the other campgrounds in the park. AT&T worked OK and Verizon was fine. Decent trails in the park and excellent hiking in the area. Hope to stay here again. Add $7 to nightly rate if you don't have a park pass. We camped at Ridgway State Park in a Motorhome.

Sundance RV Park, Cortez, Colorado

Date of Stay: June, 2012 - $35.00
Overall Rating:

Rate included tax and Good Sam discount. Great locations for short stay for visiting ruins. Nice, clean campground with friendly, helpful staff. Easy to get to and easy to navigate within park. Wi-Fi worked well and AT&T was fine. Had small dog park that was clean. Huge, recreation/sport facility right across the street (north of Main Street) that is great for walking dogs. We camped at Sundance RV Park in a Motorhome.

Great location for visiting the Great Sand Dune park. Sites were big and level. Pretty views, but very dusty throughout the park. No open trails and bird sanctuary was closed to visitors. We camped at San Luis State Park in a Motorhome.
