North Texas Jellystone (formerly Rustic Creek Ranch), Burleson, Texas

Date of Stay: June, 2013 - $40.00
Overall Rating:

We've been staying at this park twice a year for the past 7 years. It's not what it once was. Now the business is all about family holidays. Don't bother coming if you are looking for a nice quiet place to camp. Highway noise is constant. Sites are over grown with weeds in many places. Permanent area is embarrassing with the 'junk' around RVs. Cable TV is a joke. Poor reception and few channels. Many channels are over the air channels and others simply don't have reception. Maybe 5-6 working 'cable' channels. Wi-Fi is all but nonexistent. You may be able to log on but good luck getting any bandwidth. Staff are fine. Security sits in the 'box' and doesn't get off their seat to check anyone driving in. Public can walk in from the water park without any trouble. The park is handy to DFW and that is about it's only saving grace. Great for family fun but not for us old folks needing a quiet safe campground. This will be our last visit. We camped at North Texas Jellystone (formerly Rustic Creek Ranch) in a Motorhome.

Bonita Lakes RV Park , Meridian, Mississippi

Date of Stay: May, 2013 - $25.00
Overall Rating:

OK for 1 or 2 nights. We felt safe here. Good cable. Good WiFi. Good value for money. But it's not a pretty place by any standards. Lots of long term RV's. We camped at Bonita Lakes RV Park in a Motorhome.

Reed Bingham State Park, Adel, Georgia

Date of Stay: April, 2013 - $32.00
Overall Rating:

Nice park and we may return but please be aware of the following. We paid for full/premium sites. They are marked with a Gold Blaze. But NOT all of these sites have 50amps. (We asked for and paid for 50amps). Make sure you check before setting up. TV - Very poor free to air reception. Cable is a nonsense. 11 stations. 1 had nothing on it for the 5 days we were there. 5 were the network stations. That's 5 left. 1 cartoon and 1 weather. That leaves just 3 cable. Then to cap it off cable reception was very poor. So don't rely on TV if you are staying there. Still, it's a nice park but in our opinion not worth the $32 we paid. We camped at Reed Bingham State Park in a Motorhome.

Gunter Hill COE, Montgomery, Alabama

Date of Stay: March, 2013 - $18.00
Overall Rating:

Be very careful about the previous reviews. There are two campgrounds. The full hookup loops (Catoma) are very good. Modern, level and clean. The other campground, 'Antioch Loop', is very basic. Many sites are not suitable for large rigs. Trees and obstacles make backing into sites difficult. The majority are not level. Gravel roads have large pot holes. Our leveling was at it limits. Check the site before booking. Otherwise it's a nice park. Good facilities and a good price. We camped at Gunter Hill COE in a Motorhome.

Ameristar Vicksburg RV Park, Vicksburg, Mississippi

Date of Stay: June, 2012 - $27.00
Overall Rating:

A good park in a convenient location for sight seeing. Easy on and of I20. Warning. Many sights are not level. Some are OK. Even the new sites are NOT level. Far from it. Someone wasted a lot of money relaying them as they are a joke. Our advice is to take a walk around and make sure your allocated site is good enough. We stayed here a week on a site that was just level enough for our motorhomes air leveling system. We watched many frustrated campers trying to get level on sites that should have been better built. Apart from the wayward sites this is a good park with good cable and excellent Wi-Fi at a reasonable price. We camped at Ameristar Vicksburg RV Park in a Motorhome.

Excellent new park. A bit 'clinical' but one of the best commercial parks we have ever stayed in. We camped at Fernbrook RV Park in a Motorhome.

An excellent clean quiet park. We stayed here for two weeks and almost every night it was full by 4pm. Phone ahead. Not fancy but it has every thing we needed. We would return. We camped at Benchmark RV Park in a Motorhome.
