Yellowstone Holiday RV Campground & Marina, West Yellowstone, Montana

Date of Stay: June, 2014 - $60.00
Overall Rating:

This is an excellent campground. We spent 5 days relaxing by the lake and enjoying the beautiful view. It is a very quiet campground with all the ammenities. Interior roads and sites are gravel but well maintained and level. Sites are well spaced so you don't feel crowded. Host's were very helpful and friendly. The campground is worth the drive, but it is about 20 minutes from the entrance to Yellowstone (45 to Old Faithful) so plan your trips to appropriately. We camped at Yellowstone Holiday RV Campground & Marina in a Fifth Wheel.

Famil-E-Fun Campground and RV Park, Mitchell, South Dakota

Date of Stay: June, 2014 - $35.00
Overall Rating:

Very clean campground with friendly hosts. Sites were level and well maintained. Pool area was quaint, but very clean. There was some road noise from the interstate, but not enough to disrupt any outdoor activities. This was a great overnight campground. We camped at Famil-E-Fun Campground and RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Lake Ridge RV Resort, Hillsville, Virginia

Date of Stay: July, 2013 - $50.00
Overall Rating:

Lakeview is an above average family campground. We have gone several times over the past few years and it is showing some wear. The campsite pads in the lower area were not well maintained (grass is tall and in the gravel pads), however the pool area is well maintained and the new water slides were a big hit with the kids. Be warned, some folks at check-in are very rude. Everyone else was very friendly, but the check-in reception sets the mood for the visit. They are strict about the maximum number of people at the site. We didn't know and our kids brought friends which caused a major scene at check in. Had we not had guests we would have left. Likely we won't be back based on this experience. We camped at Lake Ridge RV Resort in a Motorhome.

Franklin RV Park & Campground, Franklin, North Carolina

Date of Stay: June, 2012 - $38.00
Overall Rating:

My wife and I stayed for 3 nights and had a great experience. The campground is extremely clean and well kept. The camp hosts are very friendly and helpful. The only two drawbacks were some tight spaces for large RVs and road noise. We stopped at other campgrounds in the area and this is definitely the nicest we found. We camped at Franklin RV Park & Campground in a Fifth Wheel.

Fries New River Trail RV Park, Fries, Virginia

Date of Stay: May, 2012 - $28.00
Overall Rating:

This is one of the campgrounds my family loves. This is a very well-kept park tucked into a little valley. The location adjacent to the New River Rail Trail and the New River make this a great long weekend stop. There aren't a lot of other distractions so don't come expecting a lot to do. The hosts are very friendly and always bring by a treat sometime after check-in which is a great touch. We camped at Fries New River Trail RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.
