I spent a quick evening here with my new 5th Wheel on it's maiden voyage. The staff who took my reservation earlier in the week was very friendly and helped me choose a great site in their large pull through area. The site was mostly level and had a great view of the channel and bay. All of the utility hookups where in a place where they were easy to get to. The park didn't have too many folks in it, but all of the other campers had newer, well maintained rigs. The bathroom was spotless and the Wi-Fi worked for the most part, although my signal was pretty weak. Good enough to check the news and post to my facebook account. Everyone here adhered to the rules and the only thing I heard that night was the distant crashing surf. I will come back and spend more time here very soon! One of the best I have been to.

Spent two full days at this park. We stayed at the "group" camping area at the top of the hill. The first night we were totally alone then another fifth wheel showed up for the last two nights. Sites are very level. The approach is asphalt and the site is concrete. The bathrooms in the group are were closed this time of year because of previous vandalism. All the other bathrooms were open. There are also two dump stations on site since there are no sewer hookups there. There is a nice playground and beach access from the park. Nearby is the town of Charleston where you can probably imagine that the send people from the witness protection program to disappear. There are a lot of nice restaurants on the waterfront. If you are looking for something good but inexpensive, go to the "Sea Basket." We had fish and chips there and it was pretty good. There was a killer rain/wind storm the last night we were there and the trailer shook a bit. Regardless, it was a great place and very quiet. I would give it a ten but there was no Wi-Fi or sewer hookups.

Not a bad park but I would only stay here in a pinch. The night I got there, the spigot that I was hooking my water to exploded and got me soaked. I had to run to the office so they could turn off the water. My kids were looking forward to riding the train but it is broken down. People who run the park are friendly enough and the ice cream social is a pretty good deal. The cable is basic and it is pretty weak since it is daisy chained throughout the park. Sites are dirt/gravel and you will need to level. The pool/sauna was very well maintained and kept. The park was quiet even though it was labor day weekend. Bathrooms were spotless.

A co-worker joked with me that when I went to Cape Blanco, be sure to keep everything tied down. The reality is that the park is sheltered from most wind. It was the most beautiful park I have visited in a long time. The sites were huge (50'-84') and most were secluded where you can't see your neighbor. The bathrooms were spotless and showers had plenty of hot water. Cell service is spotty. I never met the camp hosts and all the other campers respected the rules. I am planning on going again over Memorial Day.

Manager was VERY rude. Sewer smells. We ended up leaving after the sheriff came and arrested the people next to us for metanphetamine. Stay away!!

Agree with other poster. I stayed here during the 4th of July celebration there. Very crowded but spectacular firework show. Not a very good restaurant but there is a restaurant called the Pancake Mill across the street which is nice. Lots of highway noise.

Very friendly park. Camp hosts were friendly and made visitors feel welcome. The pool was very nice and also has a jacuzzi. The playground was well kept and clean. There is a little train the owner has that he putts around the campground at night with the kids and parents. I did hear some highway noise but it wasn't that bad. The WIFI is pretty slow as there is no hi speed internet there. There are also limited CATV channels but hey, we're camping right? The spots are pretty secluded and you feel like you are in the middle of the woods. All in all, a good park for families.

We arrived on Friday evening and pulled in. Had pizza at the parlor there at the restaurant/rec hall. There is a pub next door. They also had a placed for video games. Staff was very friendly. restroons were very clean as well. The water for the hookup was a little dirty. Be sure to bring your filter. Restrooms were terrific. Nice showers with plenty of hot water. Tip would be to use the "handicapped" shower if the place is deserted since there was more area to move. All in all, a nice park. Beautiful view of the lakes.
