Overall nice place to stay. Very family oriented and family friendly. Management staff was very nice and helpful. We stayed during the 4th of July holiday and participated in the kids bike parade, outdoor movies, fireworks, train rides, etc. This was very nice and a lot of fun for our little one. Facility is about 20 miles from Gulf Shores so we were able to spend some time on the beach without driving very far. Campsites are very spacious and even though park was full most of the time, we didn't feel like our "neighbors" were right on top of us. Only a few complaints. While the sites are very large they are full of dirt! Way more dirt than grass. This was a bit of a nightmare as we were also traveling with our two small dogs. Even with an outdoor mat it was quite a mess. Also, the place was covered with ants! You couldn't sit outside without ants taking over the pets, your feet, the tables, etc. Had to make a trip to the store for ant spray to try to get them under control. Finally, the campground does not have cable TV, which for the price was a bummer. However, to their credit the Wi-Fi was excellent! We would certainly stay here again.

Many things to love about this campground. While there we made use of the lake, pool, and playground area. Beautiful views, spacious campsites with grill, picnic table, and fire pit. Bath house was very clean. Prices in camp store were reasonable. Staff was friendly and helpful. Only downside was Wi-Fi was very slow...painful to use when we needed to look up directions/information on surrounding attractions. Also, cable channels were very limited. Good thing we took DVDs for the little one. Overall fantastic experience. Would definitely stay here again.

Staff was extremely friendly and helpful. Sites were spacious and clean. Bathhouse was clean. Wi-Fi was slow and cable TV channels limited. Overall a good place for an overnight stay which is what we did. Not located in the best part of town: a little nervous about the area as we approached the campsite but once there never felt uncomfortable or unsafe.

Loved this campground. Friendly staff. Clean and well maintained campsites. Good location. We were here scouting out a spot for college football season. We got a spot right in front of the creek and it was awesome. Could actually hear the creek water running from inside the camper. Wi-Fi worked good. No problems while we were there at all. Only two complaints - our site was a little too close to permanent residents who had lots of tents, and personal items around their campsite and the management wasn't taking reservations for individual football games. You had to book for every home football game in the upcoming fall football season. This was disappointing as we had hoped to come back only for a couple of games. As a result we will be staying elsewhere. However, would definitely stay here again if given the opportunity.
