We stayed in the Mississippi River Campground. Sites 4 through 10 have sewer hookups. Sites 1 through 10 have great views of the Mississippi River. There are lots of trees for shade. The pads are paved. We stayed 10 days this time. We have been here two other times. It is one of the few places where you can watch the towboats on the Mississippi while sitting beside your RV. Reservations are available. There is a coffee house and internet cafe in Cape Girardeau with free wireless internet.

Nice. There is a shuttle available to go to the casino. Good food at the casino.

Close to Yellowstone. Sites are very close. Space for parking is limited. WiFi is limited to area near one of the two bathrooms. Friendly staff. Dusty roads.

Date of Stay:

Reasonable park with easy access to Yellowstone.

Very clean, small park with concrete pads. Very friendly owners. We plan to come back for a longer stay.

Friendly owners and Staff. Very nice campground. We spent 8 nights here.

We stayed here six weeks this time and four weeks last year. Some of the sites are small (it's an old park). The park is right on the river and within walking distance of almost all of Ouray. The lack of internet is a problem, but the city library has free WiFi and free PC's available to the public. The owners of the park are very nice. The park could stand to be modernized for bigger rigs. Ouray has a pleasant climate and the temperatures seldom get above the low 80's all summer. We didn't use our air conditioners. We did run the heater most nights even in August. We did a lot of four wheel driving. There are many good roads within 20 miles of Ouray.

We've stayed here three times for one night each on our way to/from Yellowstone. It is handy for that. It lacks pleasantries such as grass, trees, etc. that I usually prefer for a longer stay. The staff is friendly. The WiFi is available only in the office area.

We spent one night here on the way to Yellowstone. We were going to stay another night on our way back, but changed our minds after the first night. The gravel on the sites was so thick as to interfere with leveling and to make walking uncomfortable.

One of the best parks we've stayed in. It is very convenient to Yellowstone Park. It is easy to walk to town for eating or shopping. This was our second time to stay here. We stayed for 28 days this time and 23 days the first time in 2004. We will be here again sometime. It's closest to the Madison Valley part of Yellowstone which offers lots of wildlife viewing, particularly bald eagles, elk, bison, trumpeter swans, sandhill cranes, coyotes, and a variety of small birds.
