Mountain Home RV Park, Mountain Home, Idaho

Date of Stay: June, 2012 - $34.00
Overall Rating:

Meticulous park. Slabs & lots of space between, with grass and white fencing for hookups (don't have to view your neighbors equipment). Each site has small lamppost and picnic table. Well thought out park. Off hwy and no noise. Huge book exchange! Not exactly a nature park but a nice relief. Cable TV with loads of channels, including music. We camped at Mountain Home RV Park in a Travel Trailer.

Thousand Lakes RV Park, Torrey, Utah

Date of Stay: June, 2012 - $28.00
Overall Rating:

9 only because the sites weren't paved. Gravel but pretty level. Each site has a patch of grass for chairs. Rock fire pits. On site store is very well stocked and reasonable. Easy hookups. Lovely place with great views. Planned to stay only one night and ended up two so we could enjoy the area. VERY WELL MAINTAINED and friendly staff. Guests and rigs were upscale. No extended stayers: or at least none who fit the stereotype. We camped at Thousand Lakes RV Park in a Travel Trailer.

Green River Campground, Dinosaur National Monument - NPS, Jensen, Utah

Date of Stay: June, 2012 - $12.00
Overall Rating:

Planned to stay two nights and stayed seven. Excellent spots. Very uncrowded and clean. Each site on the river side has it's own path down. About 50% of the sites were closed because of 'killer trees'. Old cottonwood that now shade many of the sites will be killed. We were conservative with water (using the restrooms as much as possible) and were able to go for seven days. Saturday night lecture and many hikes around the area. Plenty to do for all. Highly recommend this place. We camped at Green River Campground, Dinosaur National Monument - NPS in a Motorhome.

RV Ranch at Grand Junction, Clifton, Colorado

Date of Stay: June, 2012 - $34.00
Overall Rating:

Used AAA discount. Stopped here after 7 days of dry camping. Laundry room: 6 washers/dryers (plenty) $1.50 wash/50 cents dry for 20 minutes. Pool older but quite a relief from the heat. Shade is about 50/50. Oddity: Sewer hookups. We needed to pull the trailer in the 'wrong' way to have the connection on the 'right' side. Front desk said she has a hard time remembering what side is the correct side. Huge propane tank and locals stop here to fill 'er up. We camped at RV Ranch at Grand Junction in a Travel Trailer.
