Lookout Mtn. / Chattanooga West KOA, Trenton, Georgia

Date of Stay: June, 2013 - $39.00
Overall Rating:

We chose this campground due to location and reviews. Upon arrival the owners were extremely nice and helpful. The site we had was huge and had a deck. Not all sites were that big, though. The restrooms and showers were older but very clean. The pool was crystal clear. It's out in the country, so if you are looking for a RV resort then this isn't it. This is camping at its best. My kids especially liked the big bouncy pillow. Overall this is a very nice campground, and we would definitely stay there again. We camped at Lookout Mtn. / Chattanooga West KOA in a Travel Trailer.

Riveredge RV Park & Log Cabin Rentals, Pigeon Forge, Tennessee

Date of Stay: September, 2012 - $55.00
Overall Rating:

Extremely tight spots. Office staff was no help. It took four people to get us backed in. When our neighbors left, several of us had to move our vehicles. There was no fire ring at many of the sites including ours. We were told to burn on the ground. We won't be back to this one only due to the tight, small sites. We camped at Riveredge RV Park & Log Cabin Rentals in a Travel Trailer.

Rafter J Bar Ranch Camping Resort, Hill City, South Dakota

Date of Stay: July, 2012 - $63.00
Overall Rating:

Everything about this resort is good. It is close to everything you want to see in the Black Hills. Everything was clean and well maintained. The staff was very helpful and friendly. Our site was big and level. We had the pancake breakfast they offer and it was definitely worth the money. There is wide open spaces for the kids to play and ride their bikes without being a nuisance for those who do not have kids. Nice place. Would definitely camp here again. We camped at Rafter J Bar Ranch Camping Resort in a Travel Trailer.

We stayed here one night and would like to have made it an extended stay. The park is well maintained and lots of shade. Our site was absolutely level with grass and shade. The staff were very friendly and even had a ice cream social after dinner. It is a quiet campground. We had a deer wander through our site. The laundry facility was clean and very reasonable. Would definitely stay here again. We camped at Deer Park Campground in a Travel Trailer.

Rock Springs / Green River KOA, Rock Springs, Wyoming

Date of Stay: July, 2012 - $45.00
Overall Rating:

We stayed here one night. The site was gravel but level. No grass or trees. The pool was nice and clean. I did not like the way the sites are designed. You are facing your neighbor and they are facing you. Our canopies actually interfered with each other. The staff was friendly and helpful and they escorted us to our site. We camped at Rock Springs / Green River KOA in a Travel Trailer.

Angel Lake RV Park, Wells, Nevada

Date of Stay: June, 2012 - $25.00
Overall Rating:

This is a newer park in the desert. The sites are pull through and full hookups. What makes this a nice campground is the young lady at the office. She came out to greet us and was extremely helpful and nice. She explained things about the local area and gave us coupons and recommendations for attractions and a local restaurant. We were escorted us to our site. I wouldn't stay long term here but for an overnight stay it was just fine. We camped at Angel Lake RV Park in a Travel Trailer.

Camp Richardson Resort, South Lake Tahoe, California

Date of Stay: June, 2012 - $45.00
Overall Rating:

The location is about all this campground has going for it. The site was unlevel in every direction. While our site was extremely large, it was very hard to get into due to trees on either side of the entrance. The guy at the registration hut was not very helpful. You had to buy tokens for the bathrooms so we did not use them. No laundry facilities either. The sites were wooded but very dusty. They allow ATV's and mini bikes that were noisy and kicked up a lot of dust. Quiet hours are not enforced. Amenities such as the ice cream shop close early. We camped at Camp Richardson Resort in a Travel Trailer.

We camped here three days and it was the nicest campground we have stayed at so far. Our site had a full concrete pad with picnic table and full hook-ups. The entire campground was spotless. The people at the desk were extremely nice and helpful. This is what you would expect from a Las Vegas resort. Would definitely camp here again. OK RV Park, Holbrook, Arizona

Date of Stay: June, 2012 - $34.00
Overall Rating:

We camped at this park one night passing through. I made my reservation several months ago and when we checked in, everything was just as they had promised. The lady in the office was extremely nice and helpful. The park was clean and they had a nice display of petrified wood outside of the office. Everything was just as described on their website. This is a good overnight place to stay. We camped at OK RV Park in a Travel Trailer.

Fort Amarillo RV Resort, Amarillo, Texas

Date of Stay: June, 2012 - $35.00
Overall Rating:

We stayed at this park one night, just passing through. I made the reservations several months ago from their website. I can tell you everything on their website is true. The place was immaculately clean and well kept. Our site was a pull-through and it was very large. My kids fished in the pond and actually caught several fish. We used the indoor pool and it was clean and the water sparkling clear. The showers looked as though they had just been cleaned and were modern. We missed going into the store. I do wish they had evening hours. This is by far the nicest campground we have ever stayed in and would come back in a heartbeat. Also, the folks in the office were extremely nice and full of good information. We camped at Fort Amarillo RV Resort in a Travel Trailer.

Mingo RV Park, Tulsa, Oklahoma

Date of Stay: June, 2012 - $28.00
Overall Rating:

I made this reservation several months ago and the rate quoted was what was charged. It is a nice, clean park. The office staff is very friendly and the owner was on-site when we checked in. The streets are all paved and in good condition. The grass was all very nicely mowed and landscaping was nice. One nice touch is they have several carvings in trees and totem poles. We had a 20 foot tree on our site that had bears, raccoons, and an eagle and nest carved. Lots of interesting pictures. We only stayed one night but will put this one on our list should we pass through again. Only one negative. There were several campers parked that appeared to be long term that were in disrepair. Other than that, would highly recommend. We camped at Mingo RV Park in a Travel Trailer.

St. Louis RV Park, St. Louis, Missouri

Date of Stay: June, 2012 - $39.00
Overall Rating:

I would not clasify this as a campground. It's a partial blacktop/gravel parking lot. If all you want to do is park and sleep, then it's OK. It is very convienent to downtown but not really walking distance to the arch. The little lady at the office was very nice and gave good information about the area. We were just passing through and only stayed one night. I made the reservation several months ago and the rate charged was $6.00 more than quoted. We camped at St. Louis RV Park in a Travel Trailer.
