Lone Pine Campsites, Colchester, Vermont

Date of Stay: August, 2016 - $52.00
Overall Rating:

This facility had limited pull-throughs, so we could not get one. Ended up with back-in space that was good. Nice size with spacing between neighbors. However, if DirecTv is important to you....make sure you don't get parked in the row backing up into the long line of trees. DirecTV will not work in these spaces. WiFi was very slow but it did work. Clean, friendly staff, and overall a nice place to stay for several days. We camped at Lone Pine Campsites in a Motorhome.

Elk Creek RV Park, Elk City, Oklahoma

Date of Stay: August, 2016 - $38.00
Overall Rating:

This park is ok for an overnight but if you are 40' plus a tow vehicle, it is a little tight getting around. This is a "no frills" facility. Just off the interstate, so a little noisy in the morning as expected. wifi was slow but it worked. I might look around a little more before I stayed here again. We camped at Elk Creek RV Park in a Motorhome.

Beagle Bay RV Haven and Campground, Sarcoxie, Missouri

Date of Stay: August, 2016 - $25.00
Overall Rating:

Older park with some full-timers living there. Very fair price for the facility. The gentleman working there was extremely helpful and courteous. Just an overnight stop for us, but I would recommend it for a short extended stay. Essentially quiet for being just off the interstate. I would stay here again. We camped at Beagle Bay RV Haven and Campground in a Motorhome.

Gotta Getaway (Formerly Lazy J RV Resort), Bellevue, Ohio

Date of Stay: August, 2016 - $36.00
Overall Rating:

First and foremost, use website directions or call. Both my GPS's were wrong. Parked on grass so if raining, use discretion. Nice park but no sewer at site. A little tight for a 40 foot MH with a tow vehicle, but you can do it. We just did an overnight here....wifi as fair and direct tv good. We camped at Gotta Getaway (Formerly Lazy J RV Resort) in a Motorhome.

Oasis RV Resort, Amarillo, Texas

Date of Stay: August, 2016 - $34.00
Overall Rating:

Of the twenty-six states we visited on this trip, this facility was the best we stayed at for a big rig with a tow vehicle. Even the WiFi was excellent, which is very rare in most parks. This park will not disappoint, easy ingress and egress yet far enough from I-40 and the train tracks for a very quiet stay. Very well maintained and even their in-house pizza was great too. Don't have anything negative to say or recommended improvements. I would stay here again in a heartbeat. We camped at Oasis RV Resort in a Motorhome.

Black Bear Campground, Florida, New York

Date of Stay: August, 2016 - $42.00
Overall Rating:

Stayed here primarily due to location (close to NYC) and the tour package. The tour package is well worth the price ($115 per person), especially if this is your first time to NY. Park was fine EXCEPT all of the current pipe fitters living there and working in the area. Nice people, don't get me wrong, but for the life of me I don't understand their ridiculous need for loud exhaust systems on their trucks. Park owners should make an effort to keep all of the workers in the lower portion of the park, since most of them leave for work between 5 and 6 AM. If you don't mind the noise or wake up at this time of day, then your fine. Out of fairness to the park, nice park overall....just lots of vehicle noise and traffic. WiFi was good when everyone was at work. We camped at Black Bear Campground in a Motorhome.

Hershey RV & Camping Resort, Lebanon, Pennsylvania

Date of Stay: August, 2016 - $59.00
Overall Rating:

We are non TT members who were traveling with members, so we paid the non member price. Honestly, I would not have stayed here for that price vs. value. Overall, facility was simply just ok. Roads (between the speed bumps and pot holes) was one of the worst I have experienced in our travels. The speed bumps are ridiculous. Facility is driven towards families with kids....so if your a non-kid traveler, check out someplace else. Wifi worked but so slow, count on your cellular data if internet is important to you. We camped at Hershey RV & Camping Resort in a Motorhome.

Park Ridge RV Campground, Van Buren, Arkansas

Date of Stay: August, 2016 - $38.00
Overall Rating:

What has been said by other reviews are essentially correct. Great staff/owners who are really trying hard and working currently to make improvements. Specifically, the restrooms/laundry (currently under construction). If you are self contained, this park is fine but I have to agree a little over priced for what they are currently. I would still recommend the park in an effort to help the owners/staff get the work done that is needed to justify the price. It was a very quite park with nice fulltime residents scattered about. Nice river view and our space was fine. Some spaces are a little close to each other, while some are not. I say support this park in hopes of helping them complete their improvements. We camped at Park Ridge RV Campground in a Motorhome.

Mill Creek Resort, Pigeon Forge, Tennessee

Date of Stay: August, 2016 - $38.00
Overall Rating:

Overall an "ok" park. If you exceed 40 feet, don't come here. Gravel site was sold as their "premium" pull through site, but it was not level. RV bottomed out entering the site from the driveway and I had to block up one side of the coach to level. Also, I could not pull out the other side without bottoming out even worse, so I had to back out to exit. There are a ton of other parks in the area, suggest you seek out others. Lastly, we paid for four days but needed to leave after three days due to bad weather. Park owner would not budge on their "no refund" policy. Park representative said the owner would not even provide a refund if my mother was dying. Very disappointed in this response. I just believe there are times when common sense and professional courtesy should prevail. I will not return here in the future. We camped at Mill Creek Resort in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

Dolly Parton Lumberjack Adventure was worth the price, the Stampead was not. Don't waste your money on other attractions. Tour the Smokey Mountain National Park and surrounding roads. Best value along with Gatlinburg.

Zion River Resort RV Park & Campground, Virgin, Utah

Date of Stay: July, 2012 - $50.00
Overall Rating:

Great park, big rig friendly. Staff was very friendly and do a great job keeping the site clean. Excellent location to stay to see Zion, Kolob, and surrounding sites. Internet was fair to good. I understand from staff they just switched Internet providers and are working out the bugs. Nice pool, kid friendly. We would stay here again. Only complaint: a little pricey. We camped at Zion River Resort RV Park & Campground in a Motorhome.

Lakeside RV and Campground, Provo, Utah

Just stayed here one night. Lots of kids and families, so at times a little loud. Sites are close together too. Lots of nice trees and shade. Cable TV reception was fair to poor depending on what channel you were watching and Internet speed was just fair. If these things are not important to you, then this is a nice place to stay. Big rig friendly. We camped at Lakeside RV and Campground in a Motorhome.

Hi Valley RV Park, Boise, Idaho

Date of Stay: June, 2012 - $35.00
Overall Rating:

Overall, nice site. Stayed for two days. Recommend you request a space away from the trash cans and away from the construction site next door. Internet speed was fair, it appears they have the bandwidth throttled back to save money on how much data they use each month. We would stay here again, but move our site. Nice visit location for Boise proper. We camped at Hi Valley RV Park in a Motorhome.

Very nice park but it's a little tight for any coach over 40 foot. It is close to the freeway, but sits nicely below and the noise is not bad at all. On site host was great to visit with and takes excellent care of the facility. I would stay here again. Only reason I would not give this site a score of ten is that their internet is really slow. I have seen dial up transfer data faster. We camped at Moon Mountain RV Resort in a Motorhome.

Pismo Coast Village RV Resort, Pismo Beach, California

Date of Stay: June, 2012 - $65.00

Nice park, very clean, modern, and geared towards families. Several problems with their Internet Wi-Fi, but otherwise great park. Remember if you have a big rig (40' or more) and your towing four down, this is a tight place to get into. The surrounding streets leading in from the 101 North are narrow too. We camped at Pismo Coast Village RV Resort in a Motorhome.

Giant Redwoods RV & Camp, Myers Flat, California

Date of Stay: June, 2012 - $40.00
Overall Rating:

This site is under new ownership. Walking around you can see they have invested in trying to improve the park. This is a great location, very peaceful and right on the river. Manager is a young man who is really trying hard to make your stay enjoyable. It is parks like this where I actually don't mind spending my money to help someone trying to make a go of it. Once the fence improvements are finished and add a few 50amp spaces, this site will earn a 10. Don't expect a modern, all asphalt site: this place is rural, quiet, and has that old school camping feel. We camped at Giant Redwoods RV & Camp in a Motorhome.
