Sonny's RV Park, Lexington, Texas

Date of Stay: January, 2014 - $20.00
Overall Rating:

The host greeted us immediately upon entrance into the park. However, the entry road was a mite rough and not too well marked. Even in January, the lawn was lush. Sites were grass and gravel with a small concrete pad, but easy for pull through access. Across the hiway is a well equipped country store. Definitely the best bargain in the area at $20 a night. We would definitely stay here again. We camped at Sonny's RV Park in a Motorhome.

Paris North RV Park (formerly Shirley's RV Park), Powderly, Texas

Date of Stay: April, 2013 - $25.00
Overall Rating:

Park was easily accessible from the highway with level, well-shaded pull throughs. Very friendly manager. More than adequate for an overnight stay. No credit cards accepted. We stayed here in a 30 ft motorhone and did not have to disconnect our Jeep. We camped at Paris North RV Park (formerly Shirley's RV Park) in a Motorhome.

Mission RV Park, El Paso, Texas

Date of Stay: June, 2012 - $36.00
Overall Rating:

Saturday afternoon in a strange town with an RV that has no brakes is memorable,,,fortunately we were able to locate this park near where we had to get off the interstate. On the phone, the front desk lady was friendly with easy-to-follow directions. The sites themselves were rather accommodating for large rigs, but the view was disheartening - a barbed wire storage area for the state highway department. However, the pool and clubhouse area were both clean and inviting and the dog runs were also the same. We camped at Mission RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Hacienda RV Resort, Las Cruces, New Mexico

Date of Stay: June, 2012 - $34.00
Overall Rating:

Though we arrived five hours before the posted check-in time, the front desk clerk was very gracious and did not hesitate to send us to our site immediately. The sites were easily accessible for large rigs, with raked gravel sites and privacy fences. Because this is not their busy season, we were able to relax in the privacy of the outdoor whirlpool while enjoying the spectacular sunset. The exercise room was also noteworthy in that all the pieces of equipment really worked. A very pet-friendly environment, our dog was handed a welcome packet upon check-in. The dog run was really big and well-maintained, as was the rest of the facility. With discount coupons and other local information readily available in the office area, this park enhanced our too-short visit in charming Las Cruces. We camped at Hacienda RV Resort in a Fifth Wheel.

Caverns of Sonora RV Park, Sonora, Texas

Date of Stay: June, 2012 - $20.00
Overall Rating:

The entrance into the park is rather steep, but is worth the few seconds of white knuckle driving into the facility. Though 7 miles off IH 10, the pull through spots were adequate, even for large rigs. However, if the park had been full, you would have been exceedingly close to your neighbors. The caverns is the obvious reason for staying at the park, but the guinea fowl provide extra entertainment. We would return again. We camped at Caverns of Sonora RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.
