Campground overall was nice. Once on my site there was more usable room behind trailer than in front. Once the steps were put down there was a gully that forced you to step up from the side instead of right in front. Campground is huge with enough walking to do to turn your legs into mush. Campground is situated on Casco Bay with plenty of views to take in if you walk to the other side.Campground has a snack shack and offers a Lobster and steamers dinner that is priced very fair. There are dog doo trash cans and empty bags all through out the campground. The dumping station is an odd set up where you have to do kind of a u-turn. This is not a problem unless there are cars parked in your continuing path. I saw a couple of trailers backing out into the road because of this.I decided not to dump because of this.Would consider going back but would want to choose my site.

Very nice State Park. Back into your site and you are level side to side. The campground is somewhat like parking lot camping but there are quite a few trees through out of course the ocean is right there. The Merrimack River is also right there as this is where it empties. Lots of nice views and picture opportunities. The sound of the ocean and waves breaking can be heard at night when things quiet down.Have been several times and will continue to camp there.

Beautiful views from campsites on "Wigwam" street. Site 118 needs a little attention. When parked next to the utility the wheels on the other side of trailer need to be raised 6-8" (to level trailer) as site tapers downward from utility to other side. Other than that site was large with a fire pit made with stones for the border and a large stone at least 3' high for the back (pit was 4'x2')! Train comes by 3 or 4 times a day one way and then the return trip.If you are a NH resident bring your fishing poles and license and go fishing in Paugus Bay.Campground has a swimming area and trails that can be walked on to get you to Weirs Beach.Office has supplies and a game room and wood for sale.Campground is nice enough that I will go back.

Very casual and laid back campground.Under new management from what I understand.New owner tries to make things easy for campers but may be slightly upfront if you didn't hear or understand something he said. RV sites were in the open field with lots of sunshine. Sites were set up intelligently with 15,30 and 50amp services. Water of course also.Nice lazy river flows next to campground where my dog could go swimming.I believe there was a game room for kids and the office did have some supplies if you forgot or ran out of something. There was no swimming pool. There was some trails in the woods you could walk on. I would consider camping here again.

Nice comfortable campground.Stayed with a group of other campers and they put us on sites 1-8. Sites were mostly open and sunny and a fair size. There was also a sewer hook up on those sites.I believe there was a game room, swimming pool and the office with some supplies but I did not use any of them. Campground was just large enough to take my dog for a walk but the dog was not allowed to go swimming in their pond.I would consider camping here again.

Nice campground sitting along the river. I would probably not camp here again too soon. After only being on site for 10 minutes the fat man in the green golf cart came down and said that all dogs need to leashed. I pointed at my dog with the cable attached to the picnic table and said "he is,where's the problem"? Both Friday and Saturday night, 2 people patrolled around on golf carts like the Gestapo-sometimes with lights on and sometimes off. Sometimes they sat in the dark on the golf carts and just watched. What is this all about? They seem to have forgotten that they were in the hospitality business by worrying about what campers may do before they've done anything. Campground was very comfortable with plenty of trees, large sites, clean bathrooms and the biggest highlight was the river where people could swim. My dog was able to go in also. Younger kids were also able to jump off a train trestle into the river.

First time here I stopped in front of the gate and walked behind me to where I thought the office was. This was the old office. I looked beyond the gate and spotted another sign that showed office. As I was almost to the office, a woman came out and said, "You can't park in front of the gate." I responded, "Well I can't go through it." She failed at keeping an "eye out" for campers coming in. What intelligent campground has their office after the gate? After doing all the paperwork and driving only a few hundred feet to my site, I was disappointed to see that it was almost parking lot camping. Only the tent sites were in the woods and offered some privacy. The campground did offer some amenities, but I did not take advantage as I stayed near my site as I had my dog with me. The one thing I tried to take advantage of which was the Wi-Fi, had such a weak signal that I couldn't connect. I had to swipe the fire ring and table from the next site as there was none on my site. Nice preparation job on their part! The campground was peaceful and I made the best of it, but I won't ever be back here. The website makes it seem like such a great campground but you don't know till you've been here. Chock it up as a lesson and write a review!

Overall weekend was enjoyable.Campground is a quiet and relaxing place. We stayed at the furthest sites available which gave a nice in the woods feel. My dog loves the water, but was not allowed in their swimming pond .Campground didn't really offer anything that I wanted to check out, but the site was relaxing. Highlight of the weekend was the 2 nights sitting in front of the fire enjoying libations and conversation. Fire may have been too high a few times and went well after 10:00 PM cutoff, but nothing was out of control, and there was nobody worried about it. Website shows they are a Good Sam's affiliated campground, but they no longer are affiliated. They should correct this. I will go back in the future.

Campground was $38/night with an additional $3/night fee for something or other. $82 for the 2 nights we stayed-a little bit expensive. They are not a Good Sam's affiliated campground. Overall it's a nice campground, but there was nothing being offered that really made me want to leave my campsite. My Lab loves the water but no animals were allowed on the beach or in the water. The site area we were in (D1-6) was a small grass field that was a low lying area that didn't even dry out with the week long sunshine the state had. There were many swamp areas adjacent to sites. Might go there again but would ask for a higher elevation site (plenty were available).
