Apache Family Campground & Pier, Myrtle Beach, South Carolina

Date of Stay: November, 2016 - $40.00
Overall Rating:

This is a busy place, site was just wide enough for our trailer and tow vehicle. Cable has many channels to pick from, wifi is strong. The park does need some TLC, but we were five sites away from the ocean - so really didn't care. Lots of golf carts zipping around, loved the garbage pick up ever day at each site. We camped at Apache Family Campground & Pier in a Travel Trailer.

Lynchburg NW/Blue Ridge Parkway KOA (formerly Wildwood Campground), Monroe, Virginia

Date of Stay: October, 2016 - $45.00
Overall Rating:

Friendly staff - escorted us to our site which was large and wooded. Since we drove to the park from the east, it was an easy drive. If coming in from the west, not so much - curvy, banked roads. Wifi was weak, we were given a slip with the passcode for duration of our stay. And no cell service, at least for our phones (ATT). We camped at Lynchburg NW/Blue Ridge Parkway KOA (formerly Wildwood Campground) in a Travel Trailer.

Heritage RV Park, Augusta, Georgia

Date of Stay: October, 2016 - $35.00
Overall Rating:

This is a very quiet park, still in the process of updating sites. We were way in the back - site had a cement pad, spacious. Wifi was strong although on occasion the signal would be dropped for a few seconds. Campground is a short drive into the city. We camped at Heritage RV Park in a Travel Trailer.

Cross Winds Family Campground, Linwood, North Carolina

Date of Stay: October, 2016 - $38.00
Overall Rating:

We really liked this campground, we picked it out of the reviews to get out of the hurricane path that was coming up the coast. Our site was spacious, although not quite level - but that was easy to correct. The wi-fi was weak - but that wasn't a problem either. We camped at Cross Winds Family Campground in a Travel Trailer.

North River Campground, Shawboro, North Carolina

Date of Stay: October, 2016 - $43.00
Overall Rating:

This was the nicest campground we have ever stayed in. Staff was friendly, escorted us to our site. Our site was large with a concrete pad and picnic table. There is a small lake in the center of the park with warning signs about being dangerous although we never saw or heard anything strange. I think mosquitoes would be a problem in the summer, but with the hurricane approaching, those were blown away. Sites are back to back so that you aren't sitting on someone else's sewer hose. Good wifi. We camped at North River Campground in a Travel Trailer.

Twin Grove RV Resort & Cottages, Pine Grove, Pennsylvania

Date of Stay: October, 2016 - $45.00
Overall Rating:

Always tops on my list - wifi! We found it strong. Staff when registering was helpful, our site was large, although not quite level, with crushed rock. Since it rained the four days we were there, there wasn't a need to put down our RV rug. We stopped here on our way to Myrtle Beach from Canada and liked the park so much we stopped on the way back. We requested a level site since we were only going to be there for one night and didn't want to unhook the truck. They gave us a perfect spot! It's a beautiful campground - would definitely stay there again if we travel south. We camped at Twin Grove RV Resort & Cottages in a Travel Trailer.

Ausable Pines RV Park & Campground, Peru, New York

Date of Stay: September, 2010 - $29.00
Overall Rating:

When we pulled in and went into the office, we were surprised, it is small and overwhelmed with 'stuff.' But the woman behind the desk seemed to have it under control. She was friendly and courteous and a gentleman stepped into the office to help her. Our site was huge, more room than previous campgrounds we've stayed at. Cable TV had more than enough channels and our Wi-Fi hookup, although 'low,' was adequate to get online and do whatever you had to do. We were next to the highway which didn't bother us and the occasional train went by. I was disappointed that I couldn't actually see any as they passed by. The trains weren't that bothersome, either. In all, we enjoyed our stay - Ausable Chasm which is about four miles south is an awesome place to visit. We camped at Ausable Pines RV Park & Campground in a Travel Trailer.

Saco / Old Orchard Beach KOA, Saco, Maine

Date of Stay: June, 2010 - $39.00
Overall Rating:

This park is very clean, excellent personnel, very helpful. There seemed to be plenty of activities. A major drawback - the site we were in which was in the back row was very tight. Our awning went over our neighbor's water tap. This wasn't a problem for us since we did not spend any time outside due to several rainy days. WI-FI was low and seemed to disconnect every once in awhile. The site also included cable TV which we enjoyed having. We camped at Saco / Old Orchard Beach KOA in a Travel Trailer.

Happy Green Acres Family Campground, Brockville, Ontario

Date of Stay: June, 2006 - $33.00
Overall Rating:

We were extremely happy with this campground - it was well maintained and what we liked the most were the grass sites. Management was friendly and eager to help in any way. Another plus, it was a short drive into Brockville. We camped at Happy Green Acres Family Campground in a Travel Trailer.
