Brighton / 401 KOA, Brighton, Ontario

Date of Stay: October, 2018 - $37.00
Overall Rating:

I would have been very happy with this campground if it wasn’t for the pre-weekend (Thursday night) site fee of $70+ Canadian. The explanation actually was that many people start their weekend on Thursday, thus the higher rate. Rates for our previous two weekdays was $47+ CN. And on the weekend, the rates are higher. I am not sure if rates are different in the summer. A plus for us was a strong WiFi signal. We camped at Brighton / 401 KOA in a Travel Trailer.

Happy Green Acres Family Campground, Brockville, Ontario

Date of Stay: October, 2018 - $45.00
Overall Rating:

Owner/staff friendly, helpful, we were shown to our site. Most of the trailers in the area where we were were mostly seasonal. Our site was tight and not quite level. We camped at Happy Green Acres Family Campground in a Travel Trailer.

Quebec City KOA, Saint Nicolas, Quebec

Date of Stay: June, 2018 - $68.00
Overall Rating:

When making our reservations, I didn't realize it was a holiday weekend, everything was booked. This KOA did have two sites, one full service with a patio ($90 Canadian), the other full service with 50 amp ($80 Canadian). Since we only wanted a one night stay, we were grateful. The campground is just off the highway - and pretty much looks like a huge parking lot with sites. Lots going on for kids. The downside in addition to the price was the site only came with a wifi password for one device. By evening, this place was packed, big and small units. We camped at Quebec City KOA in a Travel Trailer.

We loved this campground. It is small, no real office, but the owner was pleasant and helpful. Very quiet. A great stopover if just passing through. We camped at Riverside RV Park and Campground in a Travel Trailer.

Wayside Campground, Glen Margaret, Nova Scotia

Date of Stay: June, 2018 - $35.00
Overall Rating:

I booked this campground for 5 nights even after reading the last review. As soon as we pulled into the office area, I had regrets. Office building is rundown. The owners were pleasant. We had our pick of sites in one area which seemed to be for travelers. We got out and looked around for our hookups. Each post at most sites had been hit or run over. As for wifi, the only available signal is next to the office. The grounds smell of sewer. On the upside, it is close to Peggy's Cove and a seafood market. And our site was grassy. We camped at Wayside Campground in a Travel Trailer.

New Glasgow Highlands, New Glasgow, Prince Edward Island

Date of Stay: June, 2018 - $40.00
Overall Rating:

Beautiful, wooded campground. Road in is downhill and narrow. It might be difficult for anyone with a huge trailer. Since ours wasn't we didn't have a problem. The woman at the office was helpful, pleasant. If in the area, we would definitely stay here again. A seafood market is about a 10 minute drive - excellent lobsters. We camped at New Glasgow Highlands in a Travel Trailer.

Clean, well maintained park. Friendly staff at check in. We were taken directly to our site. The park is next to the highway, so if you don't want the noise, you won't be happy. For us, it wasn't a problem. We camped at Camping Transit in a Travel Trailer.

Farran Park Campground, Ingleside, Ontario

Date of Stay: June, 2018 - $50.00
Overall Rating:

This is a beautiful park. Our site, 208, was slightly on an upgrade so we had to use levelers. We had a nice view of the river, but in order to see the ships passing on the river, a different spot would have been better. I guess that is why other trailers were at the other end of the row. Upon checking in, we were given two tickets to Upper Canada Village. While wifi was strong, we weren't able to download some sites. We will definitely return for another stay. We camped at Farran Park Campground in a Travel Trailer.

Apache Family Campground & Pier, Myrtle Beach, South Carolina

Date of Stay: November, 2016 - $40.00
Overall Rating:

This is a busy place, site was just wide enough for our trailer and tow vehicle. Cable has many channels to pick from, wifi is strong. The park does need some TLC, but we were five sites away from the ocean - so really didn't care. Lots of golf carts zipping around, loved the garbage pick up ever day at each site. We camped at Apache Family Campground & Pier in a Travel Trailer.

Lynchburg / Blue Ridge Parkway KOA, Monroe, Virginia

Date of Stay: October, 2016 - $45.00
Overall Rating:

Friendly staff - escorted us to our site which was large and wooded. Since we drove to the park from the east, it was an easy drive. If coming in from the west, not so much - curvy, banked roads. Wifi was weak, we were given a slip with the passcode for duration of our stay. And no cell service, at least for our phones (ATT). We camped at Lynchburg / Blue Ridge Parkway KOA in a Travel Trailer.

Heritage RV Park, Augusta, Georgia

Date of Stay: October, 2016 - $35.00
Overall Rating:

This is a very quiet park, still in the process of updating sites. We were way in the back - site had a cement pad, spacious. Wifi was strong although on occasion the signal would be dropped for a few seconds. Campground is a short drive into the city. We camped at Heritage RV Park in a Travel Trailer.

Cross Winds Family Campground, Linwood, North Carolina

Date of Stay: October, 2016 - $38.00
Overall Rating:

We really liked this campground, we picked it out of the reviews to get out of the hurricane path that was coming up the coast. Our site was spacious, although not quite level - but that was easy to correct. The wi-fi was weak - but that wasn't a problem either. We camped at Cross Winds Family Campground in a Travel Trailer.

North River Campground, Shawboro, North Carolina

Date of Stay: October, 2016 - $43.00
Overall Rating:

This was the nicest campground we have ever stayed in. Staff was friendly, escorted us to our site. Our site was large with a concrete pad and picnic table. There is a small lake in the center of the park with warning signs about being dangerous although we never saw or heard anything strange. I think mosquitoes would be a problem in the summer, but with the hurricane approaching, those were blown away. Sites are back to back so that you aren't sitting on someone else's sewer hose. Good wifi. We camped at North River Campground in a Travel Trailer.
