USA RV Park, Gallup, New Mexico

Date of Stay: September, 2018 - $37.00
Overall Rating:

Easy to find off Highway 40. This is a big park. We were glad the nearby coaches moved before we did in the morning because it would have been very tight to get out. We camped at USA RV Park in a Motorhome.

Railside RV Ranch, Williams, Arizona

Date of Stay: September, 2018 - $41.00
Overall Rating:

We just spent one night here but the park was excellent. Very clean. We had trouble hooking up the cable and the office manager came to our site to help us. She was just amazing and really went out of her way to make sure we were happy. New doggie park with grass and benches to sit on. We were worried that there would be train noises but there were none. We camped at Railside RV Ranch in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

It's about an hour's drive to the Grand Canyon. We drove up there and had a wonderful visit - our 6th or 7th! Wish we had had enough time to explore Williams, cause it looked like a nice little town with shops and restaurants.

Barstow / Calico KOA, Yermo, California

Date of Stay: September, 2018 - $40.00
Overall Rating:

This was just a stop over for us on the way to Los Angeles. It was easy to locate and the park was very clean. We didn't bother to hook up to the sewer and used the campground shower and it was very clean. Gravel dog park - which was okay. It was very hot. We camped at Barstow / Calico KOA in a Motorhome.

McArthur's Temple View RV Resort, St George, Utah

Date of Stay: September, 2018 - $50.00
Overall Rating:

We arrived on a Sunday so there was no one in the office. We had made a reservation so the site information was ready for us. However, we found it extremely confusing to identity the site. They are not clearly marked and we originally pulled into the wrong space and then, even after we found it, parked our car on the wrong side of the coach. It was very hot. I took our dogs to a city park for walks as there are goat heads in the park along the roadside. There is not a good place for dogs to walk. And it was very hot. We camped at McArthur's Temple View RV Resort in a Motorhome.

Thousand Lakes RV Park, Torrey, Utah

Date of Stay: September, 2018 - $40.00
Overall Rating:

We stayed here 5 nights while visiting Capitol Reef National Park. It was very convenient to Torrey and to the Park. We also drove Route 12 - a scenic byway. The park is wonderful. They have a nice store, a barbeque restaurant, and fabulous views!!! My only complaint was the laundries - there were two. Both were cramped and had only two washers and driers. I used both. The one near the office had a covered bench for waiting. The other one had no place to sit or wait. Otherwise, the park was just terrific and the staff we met were very nice and helpful. We camped at Thousand Lakes RV Park in a Motorhome.

Junction West RV Park, Grand Junction, Colorado

Date of Stay: September, 2018 - $50.00
Overall Rating:

We stayed in Grand Junction for six nights. The park is easy to find and convenient to Grand Junction, Fruita and Highway 70. The park and the RV sites are well-groomed gravel. It is very clean and well maintained. Our space was wide. They had a nice laundry, which I used. It was very clean. We camped at Junction West RV Park in a Motorhome.

Shady Grove Campground, Seibert, Colorado

Date of Stay: August, 2018 - $45.00
Overall Rating:

We stopped for an overnight. The park is small but we had enough space. However, it is located near agricultural driers and they ran the driers overnight and they were very loud. I thought it was a train at first but it just kept roaring - like a jet engine. I did not get a good night's sleep. We camped at Shady Grove Campground in a Motorhome.

Walnut Grove RV Park, Merriam, Kansas

Date of Stay: August, 2018 - $40.00
Overall Rating:

Conveniently located to Kansas City and surrounding areas. Our 40 foot coach barely fit in the space. It was very tight. We stayed for 5 nights while visiting friends in Overland Park. It was easy to find off the highway but crowded and unattractive. We camped at Walnut Grove RV Park in a Motorhome.

Southgate RV Park of Fayetteville, Fayetteville, Arkansas

Date of Stay: August, 2018 - $30.00
Overall Rating:

This park is just south of town and easy to find. The space we were assigned was level and easy to access. The park was clean, the spaces were wide, it was adjacent to a mowed, open field. Everything worked as expected. We were just there for an overnight and it was great. No picnic tables or other conveniences, but that was fine for us. We camped at Southgate RV Park of Fayetteville in a Motorhome.

Salisbury Beach State Park, Salisbury, Massachusetts

Date of Stay: June, 2016 - $34.00
Overall Rating:

Beautiful park. Gorgeous beaches, lots of walking trails, nice clean facilities and a store. The sites are gravel, level and kind of spare. Gnarly trees at some sites. But if you like the beach, this is a great place. We have Verizon and the cell phone signal was great. Also got great TV (35 channels, excellent reception) with an over the air antenna. Wish we could have stayed longer - it was a great place. We camped at Salisbury Beach State Park in a Motorhome.

Carol's Campsite and RV Park, Sudbury, Ontario

Date of Stay: June, 2016 - $50.00
Overall Rating:

Not many campgrounds in this part of the country that will accommodate a 40 foot motor coach. We felt lucky to have found this place. It is on a small lake, just south and east of Sudbury. There are a lot of seasonal campers or locals who stay year round but everyone seems very nice. The manager was very pleasant. It was hot (for Canada!) the day we stayed and there were a number of people enjoying the lake and boats. The campground is immediately adjacent to another RV park. Road signage is good. We camped at Carol's Campsite and RV Park in a Motorhome.

Renfrew / Ottawa West KOA, Renfrew, Ontario

Date of Stay: June, 2016 - $55.00
Overall Rating:

We stopped in this campground on our way to Sault Ste. Marie. It is located west of Renfrew and it is off the road and quiet. There are a lot of seasonal guests. We parked next to the office in a pull through space. It was grass and level but not very wide. The park has a number of activities (pond, mini golf course, driving range, playground) and lots of open space in the front. Managers were very nice and helpful. Good spot to stop if you are traveling in a large coach. We did not unhitch. We did not drive through the main part of the campground. Some of the driving space seemed a little tight. We camped at Renfrew / Ottawa West KOA in a Motorhome.

Camping Transit, Levis, Quebec

Date of Stay: June, 2016 - $48.00
Overall Rating:

Very nice, large full service park. Sites are gravel and level. Full hook-ups and sewer. There was some road noise but we really didn't notice it. Some seasonal guests but their RVs are neat and well maintained. I used the laundry and it was very clean. French is the principal language but we managed to communicate well enough. It is a very convenient location off Highway 20 and close (a few miles) from the ferry to old Quebec. We camped at Camping Transit in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

Great campground if you are visiting Old Quebec. The ferry to Old Quebec is about 15 miles away with convenient parking ($8 a day). The round trip, 12 minute ferry for two of us to Old Quebec was around $10 US. Old Quebec is fabulous and not to be missed! Levis also has an old town but we did not have time to visit - wish we had. It looked intriguing.
