Hi Country RV Park, Whitehorse, Yukon

Date of Stay: July, 2016 - $32.00
Overall Rating:

We have a really nice site backing onto forest. The sites are larger than most we've encountered in the Yukon. Staff are friendly and park is very clean, they even have recycle! Really close to town so very convenient. We camped at Hi Country RV Park in a Travel Trailer.

Carcross Grocery & RV Park (formerly Montana Services & RV Park), Carcross, Yukon

Date of Stay: July, 2016 - $42.00
Overall Rating:

It was very basic and right on the highway. It was really overpriced but it was close to town. The showers and carwash were very overpriced, laundry about average. Good spot if you are on your way to Skagway and just want an overnight spot or a place while you visit Carcross. We camped at Carcross Grocery & RV Park (formerly Montana Services & RV Park) in a Travel Trailer.

Tags Gas, Food, and RV Park, Watson Lake, Yukon

Date of Stay: July, 2016 - $20.00
Overall Rating:

This rv site is the worst we've seen, there was old building material, broken glass and other debris all over. The pull through sites were so tight the big units couldn't open their awnings. Some couldn't open their slides all the way. We found a back in spot on a corner so had decent space. We camped at Tags Gas, Food, and RV Park in a Travel Trailer.

Stop at the visitor center and see the sign forest, very interesting. Then keep going. There are nice government sites not far up the road.

Toad River Lodge & RV Park, Toad River, British Columbia

Date of Stay: July, 2016 - $35.00
Overall Rating:

This is a beautiful, clean well maintained rv park. We were given a back in site right on the lake. We were able to watch a moose eat in the lake while we had our dinner and later saw two beaver.
Even though its right on the highway it was very quiet. We would definitely stay again. We camped at Toad River Lodge & RV Park in a Travel Trailer.

There is really no decent area to walk dogs other than along the grassy verge of the highway. However we were able to let them swim in the lake

Ross H Maclean Rotary RV Park, Charlie Lake, British Columbia

Date of Stay: July, 2016 - $38.00
Overall Rating:

It was a nice clean park with easy access from the highway. The staff were very pleasant and helpful. It is surrounded by bird sanctuary with good walking trails. The boat launch for Charlie Lake is right outside the gates if you are a boater. Some of the campground was very nice with grass and trees but we were given a site in an open expanse of gravel backing right up to a playground. Two seniors with two dogs dont really enjoy the screeching of children at play. We had to have our air conditioner run the whole time as it was like being in the open desert. The access road was in terrible condition. I don't think it was good value and wouldnt stay there again. We camped at Ross H Maclean Rotary RV Park in a Travel Trailer.

Fish creek community forest has beautiful walking trails. The Charlie Lake community Church is a lovely friendly congregation right across the highway from the RV park.

Mile 0 Park & Campground, Dawson Creek, British Columbia

Date of Stay: July, 2016 - $40.00
Overall Rating:

We had a nice large grassy site with full hook ups. The wifi had a strong signal and was easy to access. The laundry room had lots of machines, 2.50 per wash and .75 gave a good dry. The pioneer village attached was very interesting. We would recommend this campground, close to town easy access from any of 3 directions and big field to walk dogs in. We camped at Mile 0 Park & Campground in a Travel Trailer.

Dave's RV Park and Campground, Vanderhoof, British Columbia

Date of Stay: September, 2015 - $42.00
Overall Rating:

This is the most expensive park we've stayed at this trip. It is really clean and well maintained and sites are a decent size so you are not crammed on top of your neighbor, however they advertise wifi but neglect to say you have to pay for it. At 3 dollars a day per computer you would expect good internet, but it is so slow you can barely send an email. If I come this way again I would stay at the municipal site. We camped at Dave's RV Park and Campground in a Travel Trailer.

This is a beautiful spot to camp. Huge pulll through with full hook ups. The views of the mountains is spectacular! Very close to fuel, groceries and the national historic site. Hosts are friendly and helpful and it is very very clean. Fantastic walk to the river, good exercise for us and the dogs. We camped at Cassiar RV Park in a Travel Trailer.

Smithers Par 3 and RV Park (formerly Riverside Golf Course & RV Park), Smithers, British Columbia

Date of Stay: September, 2015 - $30.00
Overall Rating:

The campground was ok, good space for our unit and full hook ups. The views were great and it was very close to town. The golf course was fun and was greatly discounted for campers. The only two negatives were, there was a lot of junk lying around which looked ugly and was unsafe for children or pets. The other was that it was difficult to turn left out of the campground to go north. The campground staff were friendly and helpful and we would stay there again. We camped at Smithers Par 3 and RV Park (formerly Riverside Golf Course & RV Park) in a Travel Trailer.

Weaver Park Campground, Lloydminster, Saskatchewan

Date of Stay: July, 2012 - $33.00
Overall Rating:

This park was extremely difficult to find. The directions given in the travel book say located at 44/45, we couldn't find 44th st, of course it is the Yellowhead Highway, but is not clearly marked when on the highway. On the highway there is a sign as you enter the city that weaver campground is ahead then there is nothing until a little brown sign right on a post on the corner of 45th. The campground itself is clean and the hosts helpful, but it is very swampy totally mosquito infested, lots of standing water. Although shade is advertised, there is none. Lots of people living full time here so they are up really early and driving out, no quiet here. Overall, we wouldn't stay here again. We camped at Weaver Park Campground in a Travel Trailer.

Silver Star RV Park, Vernon, British Columbia

Date of Stay: June, 2012 - $36.00
Overall Rating:

This is such a beautiful campground! Friendly staff, lovely sites right on the lake. A really nice dog run, big enough to throw the ball and play. The pool was great, really enjoyed a swim. The sites are big enough to not be right on top of each other. The Internet as always was a disappointment, often couldn't get on, very weak signal. We would absolutely stay there again. We camped at Silver Star RV Park in a Travel Trailer.

Silver Sage Campground, Kamloops, British Columbia

Date of Stay: June, 2012 - $39.00
Overall Rating:

Unfortunately when we arrived in Kamloops the river had flooded and all the campsites were under water. The campground hosts were very gracious and found us a spot in the overflow with electricity and water. It was very uneven and difficult to level the trailer or even walk around. Wi-Fi is advertised but too weak to connect to. We only stayed 2 nights so it was OK but I wouldn't have wanted to stay longer. We camped at Silver Sage Campground in a Travel Trailer.
