Ray Behrens COE, Monroe City, Missouri

Date of Stay: July, 2018 - $24.00
Overall Rating:

We stayed at site 114. I slopes a little from front to back but nothing our leveling system couldn't handle. Lots of space between sites, numerous shower & restroom buildings. We camped at Ray Behrens COE in a Fifth Wheel.

Johnson's Shut-Ins State Park, Middlebrook, Missouri

Date of Stay: July, 2015 - $28.00
Overall Rating:

We stayed in loop 2 site 219 which has full hookups. We stayed from June 28 - July 1. The concrete pads are fairly level, the hookups are in the concrete pad. The spacing on the sites range from nearby to spacious. The campground has basic, electric, equestrian, and FHU sites available. There are numerous trails including a connection to the Ozark Trail. This area is very remote, the campground store has everything you need if you forget something including the only WIFI hotspot in the campground. This campground is a cell phone dead area "NO SERVICE". You can get cell phone service at the Park Visitor Center which is a mile away. We camped at Johnson's Shut-Ins State Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Tips for other Campers:

Visit Johnson's Shut-In state park, it is a great place to hike and swim in the shut-ins. Also Elephant Rocks State park is nearby, this park has enormous red granite boulders that are available to climb and hike around.

Osage Beach RV Park, Osage Beach, Missouri

Date of Stay: June, 2015 - $31.00
Overall Rating:

We stayed here from M-Th in pull-thru number 67. The spacing is a little closer than we like but our site had mature tree on each side. The park has some long term visitors(for the lake season I assume) but it was a very clean park and well maintained. They have a few aminities like a pool and shuffleboard. They have a few supplies, but if you forgot or need anything there's a Target and Lowe's across the street. The park is close to all the attractions and restaurants and its easy on and off the highway. Our stay was memorable and pleasant. We camped at Osage Beach RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.
