Hilltop RV Park, Fort Stockton, Texas

Date of Stay: July, 2015 - $27.00
Overall Rating:

Poor wifi. Windy and dusty. Waited 40 minutes for receipt for cash payment. It's a shame. A little extra effort and these folks could have a winner. We camped at Hilltop RV Park in a Travel Trailer.

Hot tub could have been hotter. Clean pool and restrooms. This Tango WIFI is not good and a deal breaker. It is an OK overnight stop. We camped at Houston West RV Park in a Travel Trailer.

Pagosa Riverside Campground, Pagosa Springs, Colorado

Date of Stay: July, 2015 - $35.00
Overall Rating:

Wifi is not good, but the park is fine. With the inexpensive technology available, why are these parks dishing out poor wifi? We camped at Pagosa Riverside Campground in a Travel Trailer.

Faywood Hot Springs, Faywood, New Mexico

Date of Stay: July, 2015 - $28.00
Overall Rating:

Hot springs and a quiet night or two of camping. One cannot go wrong. The clothing optional soak should be clothing mandatory, imho. However, this spot in the desert is worth the drive. We camped at Faywood Hot Springs in a Travel Trailer.

Tucumcari KOA, Tucumcari, New Mexico

Date of Stay: July, 2013 - $35.00
Overall Rating:

Dusty. Hey, it is the desert. The park advertised hot tub all along the Interstate. Got there at the end of the day and hot tub was closed. Surprise! It was nice to think about a hot tub after a long drive. But, host at the front desk dropped the bombshell, it was not funny. I will drive to Santa Rosa, NM next trip. We camped at Tucumcari KOA in a Travel Trailer.

Wichita Bend RV Park, Wichita Falls, Texas

Date of Stay: July, 2013 - $17.00
Overall Rating:

If your rig is self-contained, this stop is for you. Lucy Park is next door for jogging and biking. River Trail is worth the stop. Highway noise may be an issue for some. No wi-fi and cable...and that's OK. Well lighted at night, but this can be a curse if you like a dark room for sleeping. Stayed here on the way out and on the way back. We camped at Wichita Bend RV Park in a Motorhome.

Ajax Country Livin' RV Park at I-49, Marthaville, Louisiana

Date of Stay: June, 2012 - $22.00
Overall Rating:

This was a perfect for overnight stop for us. The manager was here to greet us at the front office. But, be sure to have cash or check on hand. The site was easy to get to, level, and simple to pull through. WiFi was strong. Picnic table was at our site. Lighted walkway to the bathhouse. Clean bathroom and shower although there was an slight odor. No cable, but local TV was available. Quiet campground. We camped at Ajax Country Livin' RV Park at I-49 in a Travel Trailer.

Miss Ellie's RV Park, Waskom, Texas

Date of Stay: June, 2012 - $27.00
Overall Rating:

This was a perfect campground for an overnight stay. The host was friendly and helpful. Signs led us off I-20 directly to the grounds. This campground had clean restrooms, strong WIFI, and cable TV. So, for the price, it was a good value. The site was easy to pull through and well-lighted. This was valuable since we arrived late in the evening. The road noise was not as bad as was described in another review, but it was evident. We plan to use this campground in the future. We camped at Miss Ellie's RV Park in a Travel Trailer.

Santa Rosa Campground & RV Park, Santa Rosa, New Mexico

Date of Stay: June, 2012 - $32.00
Overall Rating:

This is a fair overnight stop with clean restrooms and grounds. Cable TV is an extra charge, but the Wi-Fi was good. The typical nightly rate on our last trip was around 23. This place is over 40% higher so the value lowers our rating. We rode our bikes down to dinner; therefore, it is convenient to Route 66 diners. We camped at Santa Rosa Campground & RV Park in a Travel Trailer.

Ojo Caliente Mineral Springs Resort & Spa RV Park, Ojo Caliente, New Mexico

Date of Stay: June, 2012 - $20.00
Overall Rating:

Good campground if you are self-contained (portable toilets and showers at the paid spa). Friendly staff. The desert trails were worth the stay. Ask for the map and bring water and your GPS. We used the spa after 6PM for $15 a night weekdays. So, for $35 a day, we had cool pool, hot tubs, mud pools, steam and sauna: with relaxing views of the desert, and comfy camping. Bike rides around the river was nice, too. If the campground had sewer hookups at each site, this place would be a 9.5. Using the central dumping station was OK, though. No cable and that's OK. Wi-Fi was OK by the office and pool: not in the campsite. An ethernet run and wireless router by the campgrounds would be a good idea for management to consider. Reasonable drives to Espanola and Taos. Nice place! We camped at Ojo Caliente Mineral Springs Resort & Spa RV Park in a Travel Trailer.
