Baker's Hole Campground - USFS, West Yellowstone, Montana

Date of Stay: July, 2012 - $16.00
Overall Rating:

Some sites do have power, but fill up fast. Most are shaded in the pine trees. Very nice area and friendly campground host. It is in bear territory so you must use caution with food storage. There are lockers provided for this reason. Large level sites available. We camped at Baker's Hole Campground - USFS in a Motorhome.

Yellowstone River RV Park and Campground, Billings, Montana

Date of Stay: July, 2012 - $47.00
Overall Rating:

This is a Good Sam Park. We were put in an open site with gravel. They are very small and crowded. There are a lot of rules listed. There is a pet run, but they do not provide bags or shovels to pick up after your dog. The Wi-Fi is very weak and sporadic. Too bad that a city this large only has 2 RV parks and they are almost beside each other. We camped at Yellowstone River RV Park and Campground in a Motorhome.

Pony Express Motel and RV Park, West Yellowstone, Montana

Date of Stay: July, 2012 - $39.00
Overall Rating:

The RV park is actually behind the Brandin Iron Inn, which is right in town, so very convenient for shopping, dinning, and going into Yellowstone Park. I fully support hotels/motels that allow RV's to camp on their property. The staff in the hotel were very friendly and helpful, treated us like a regular guest. The sites are close together, but does have full hookup, some have picnic tables. We camped at Pony Express Motel and RV Park in a Motorhome.

Sunrise Campground, Bozeman, Montana

Date of Stay: July, 2012 - $32.00
Overall Rating:

The sites are small and there is a train across the road. The owners are very accommodating and will do anything to make your stay a pleasant one so that makes up for the lack of space. There is a TV room, laundry, and free Wi-Fi that works well. We camped at Sunrise Campground in a Motorhome.

Fort Abraham Lincoln State Park, Mandan, North Dakota

Date of Stay: July, 2012 - $20.00
Overall Rating:

This is a lovely park with a small beach area. There was flooding the previous year so I think they are still working on cleaning up the park. The hook-ups are on the wrong side so can be awkward when you back in/pull in to the site. There are firepits at each site. Lots to see and do in the area. We camped at Fort Abraham Lincoln State Park in a Motorhome.

Green Valley Campground, Glendive, Montana

Date of Stay: July, 2012 - $21.00
Overall Rating:

We stayed here only because the other campground in town was closed, and it was hot so we wanted a site with power. This place is very run down, very smelly from the lagoon across the highway, and has oil patch, and road construction workers in it. Those are old photos on the website; it does not look like this at all. Would never recommend this place, and Woodalls should take them off their list. We camped at Green Valley Campground in a Motorhome.

Missoula KOA, Missoula, Montana

Date of Stay: June, 2012 - $41.00
Overall Rating:

This was a great place to stay after the previous night at a Good Sam park a few miles up the road. The staff was friendly and you could wash your unit at no extra cost. Would go back again. Also very pet friendly as this is important for us with a dog. We camped at Missoula KOA in a Motorhome.

Jim & Mary's RV Park, Missoula, Montana

Date of Stay: June, 2012 - $41.00
Overall Rating:

They don't have the sites clearly marked. Not all that big the way they describe in their ad. Some seasonal campers so felt that we were imposing on them. Quite a distance from town, not clearly marked on driving instructions in ad. Did not enjoy the atmosphere of the place, would look elsewhere, like the KOA in town. We camped at Jim & Mary's RV Park in a Motorhome.

Lincoln Road RV Park, Helena, Montana

Date of Stay: June, 2012 - $35.00
Overall Rating:

Park was okay, level gravel sites, not much shade. Couldn't understand why they put you on top of each other when other sites were available across the road. Not too far from town, small store close by for beer and wine and other necessities. We camped at Lincoln Road RV Park in a Motorhome.

Wolf Lodge Campground, Coeur d'Alene, Idaho

Date of Stay: June, 2012 - $35.00
Overall Rating:

We were in a grassy area, it was soft. So, we weren't sure if we would make it out in the morning. Poor WiFi service. Noisy from the highway. The showers were good. There are lovely tent sites, but not all sites should be used for RVs. People are friendly. Would not stay here again. We camped at Wolf Lodge Campground in a Motorhome.
