San Luis Valley Campground, Villa Grove, Colorado

Date of Stay: July, 2016 - $28.00
Overall Rating:

Stopped here overnight while traveling through Colorado. Very reasonably priced. It doesn't look like much from the road, but looks are deceiving. Shady pull-through sites with full utilities. Gravel and grassy, but ours was level and the others looked similar. Bathhouse is rustic, but clean. Nice little lounge area with free coffee/tea/cocoa. Also, has small supply of sundries and soda. Most of the other campers here have ATVs, so I'm guessing there's some riding trails close by. I'd stay here again if passing through. We camped at San Luis Valley Campground in a Motorhome.

Enchanted Trails RV Park & Trading Post, Albuquerque, New Mexico

Date of Stay: June, 2016 - $29.00
Overall Rating:

Great little campground. Dirt/gravel sites, mostly level. Utilities all worked well. Wi-Fi OK, but sometimes spotty. Nice retro theme, but the bathrooms could use spruced up. Refreshing pool, hot tub, but hot tub pump was out. Gift shop, laundry, common areas. Discounts available.

I'd definitely recommend and we'll definitely be back. We camped at Enchanted Trails RV Park & Trading Post in a Motorhome.

South Bass Island State Park, Put-in-Bay, Ohio

Date of Stay: July, 2012 - $33.00
Overall Rating:

Very nice park. Lots of trees and shade. There are 11 full hook-up sites. All are back in's and are a bit cramped, but not too bad. All the roads and pads were repaved this year. Some of the tent sites are on a bluff overlooking Lake Erie and the views are spectacular. Put-in-Bay is a very unique and fun place. Lots of bars and restaurants in town, which is across the island. State dock and boat rentals nearby. Winery about 1 mile away. Taxi service is available for $3/pp to/from any part of the island. The ride there might be a stopper for some. The ferry fare for my 30' was $45 each way, but I consider it worth it considering the beauty of the park and island. We camped at South Bass Island State Park in a Motorhome.

Frontier Campground, Waynesville, Ohio

Date of Stay: June, 2012 - $33.00
Overall Rating:

Very nice little park. It was secluded and quiet which is what we were looking for. The owners were friendly and accommodating. We met several of the seasonal residents at a potluck, and they were all very friendly, also. The pool is nice, although the putt-putt needs some TLC. Restrooms and showerhouse were very clean. The owners are working at improving after acquiring it a few years ago. We camped at Frontier Campground in a Motorhome.
