Wisconsin Dells KOA, Wisconsin Dells, Wisconsin

Date of Stay: July, 2012 - $54.00
Overall Rating:

Very nice KOA in the Dells. Right off the main strip of action. It had a pool and splash pad area for the kids and nightly movie for the kids as well. Staff was very helpful in regard to issues at the campground as well as local Dells attractions. Also had nightly security - who did a good job of keeping order and making campers feel safe. Yes there are trains nearby - but they don't come that often. We'll be returning here for sure. We camped at Wisconsin Dells KOA in a Travel Trailer.

Baker Campground, Maple Plain, Minnesota

Date of Stay: July, 2012 - $26.00
Overall Rating:

Used this county park as a great base camp for visiting friends and exploring the Minneapolis area. Large level sites that are partially wooded. Bathhouses and showers were some of the nicest and cleanest I've ever seen in a local/state park. It has a beach area and nice bike trails. Only negative was the mosquitoes; they were pretty thick. We camped at Baker Campground in a Motorhome.

Cagles Mill Lake / Lieber State Recreation Area, Cloverdale, Indiana

Date of Stay: June, 2012 - $16.00
Overall Rating:

Lieber State Rec area is a hidden gem in the Indiana park system. The sites are very wooded - so lots of shade. It has both a beach and a pool (aquatic center) - even a water slide. Fishing in the lake too. Showers were a bit dated - only negative. Weekday rate was a great value - and not crowded during the weekdays. We camped at Cagles Mill Lake / Lieber State Recreation Area in a Travel Trailer.

Compton Ridge Campground , Branson, Missouri

Date of Stay: March, 2012 - $38.00
Overall Rating:

We camped here for Spring Break as the weather was already really hot! We didn't get to see the park in full swing as it was off peak season. The indoor pool sure was nice as most other pools werent open in March. Terrain is very hilly and rocky around the sites - unique. All sites are terraced into the side of hills so not a lot of open area for kids to play. Plenty to do in Branson, though. Staff was very helpful. We camped at Compton Ridge Campground in a Travel Trailer.
